We have been on the lookout for a good sushi place in the Hanover area and tried numerous recommendations only to be disappointed.
We got a recommendation from a Facebook page to visit Full Moon, and we are so glad that we did. Dion is an amazing presence at the restaurant. He makes us feel so welcomed and goes above and beyond to make each of our experiences exceptional.
The first time we visited, Dion mentioned that my husband looks like Khabib Nurmagomedov. Last night, the MMA fights were on and when we visited to get sushi, Dion included an action figure of Khabib on our dish. How cool is that? That he thinks of his customers enough to do something memorable and special for them like this. We laughed so hard and my husband went home with the action figure.
Our favorite rolls are the 520 Roll and Japanese Burrito Roll. Both are phenomenal and I highly recommend trying it.
The sushi and service is so good that we visit about once a week (sometimes numerous times a week). If you pay in cash, they also give you a 10% discount. The strawberry bubble tea and fried cheesecake are great as well.
Full Moon has quickly become our favorite sushi restaurant due to the quality of the sushi and Dion.
There have been times during rush hours, like 5 PM on a Friday, that service can take awhile due to some servers’ speeds. But once Dion steps in, everything starts running smoothly again.
I recommend giving it a go, especially during the “off” times for your first time, to get the full experience of why Full Moon is such a great, local sushi restaurant.

We typically get take out. My husband brings it home after work. We get 6 or so rolls every time and have a buffet until we’re both too full to move. Every flavor is fresh and we thoroughly enjoy everything we’ve ever eaten

Came for lunch and was pleasantly surprised with the sushi! I went with the two sushi specialty special they have for lunch which makes the pricing very affordable. I honestly forgot the names of what sushi I ordered, but overall found the quality to be decent. The service was nice and I liked the decor that came with the plate!

First time trying this place after a lot of people said to try it out. They have a large variety of sushi rolls ( raw, cooked, and vegetable ), a big hibachi selection, and so much more. The staff was so kind and friendly. The presentation of our sushi rolls was beautiful. We loved the slate plate with a single roll.

My 14yo got to choose her birthday dinner and she wanted sushi. This is the first time we had been to Full Moon and I will absolutely return. When my son didn’t order, the nice lady taking our order asked why he didn’t want anything. I explained it was my daughter’s birthday and she got to pick, but my son doesn’t eat this cuisine. She brought us an appetizer of pork dumplings and said it was for her birthday. Low and behold, my son loved them and ended up eating almost all of them. We ate our meals, got our to go order (for lunch the next day) and packed up our leftovers. This sweet lady then brought a piece of cake and a candle and we all sang happy birthday! She did not charge us for the appetizer or dessert. She was so incredibly sweet and really made our night! I don’t know if this is standard, so don’t go expecting the free food, but the service was amazing and she truly made my daughter feel special. The sushi was great! Thank you for your kindness; I wish had gotten your name!

The food is fantastic. We ended up here by mistake thinking we were going to another restaurant, and I am glad we did. The service is possibly a bit slower but excellent, follow the gentleman’s recommendations and you won’t be disappointed. A family atmosphere and they have definite regulars

Loved the food. Sushi definitely delicious and so was the hibachi. Service wasn’t the best as they didn’t barely pay attention to you. We had to make sure we got their attention for anything. Overall we loved it here!

Delicious food! Staff is very polite. Really good portions. They have a ton of sushi selections and the hibachi chicken is great. I have no complaints at all and will definitely be back. Don’t mind my half eaten sushi, it’s bigger than that.

The sushi was perfect. If you’re in to Nigiri style Sushi, I highly recommend the: striped bass, salmon, white tuna, and yellowtail!!!! These are a must have.
As far as rolls get the pink lady with mango. A+
BYOB… Sake is always a great compliment to your meal.
For the kids they have good chicken nuggies and French fries.
Ice cream options are: Green tea, red bean and vanilla. They also have mochi! Get Red bean or mango.

Great little place in Hanover. First visit, would definitely return. Sushi options are really good and fresh. Soup and Hibachi are tastytoo. Solidly recommend.
