I would say the service was okay. I felt the server was not pleased when we kept asking for extra hot sauce and when we requested our group picture to be taken. Anyways, I ordered shrimp Donburi, which was good however, the shrimp had extra salt. I would recommend toning down on the salt. Btw, they do have kids’ ramen option which is awesome. My kids would love to come here.
Parking situation – You have to search for parking around the complex or park at the parking garage.
Ambiance – Is nice indoors and great spot for lunch.
I would totally return but hopefully next time the service is better, and the menu has improved.
– salt tonkotsu ramen: the noodle was good but a little bit too soft for my liking. The chasu was delicious! It was tender & had sweetness and I could taste some char on it. The broth was good and hearty & not too salty. The only thing that kinda tasted off was the ginger slices. It was too much that was overpowering the broth. I wish I could have them on the side instead.
– kids ramen: my kid loved it. It was a perfect combo for him: noodle, chasu & corn. He even finished all the broth.
– mayo chicken rice bowl: they gave generous portion of chicken pieces. Hubby said it was good but the portion was rather small.
Overall, the service & food was good. We would come back when we are in the area.
UPDATE:
It’s been a while since we ate here. We decided to have an early dinner at 5:30pm after we saw the sign that they have chicken katsu. We were immediately seated after we entered the restaurant.
– Chicken katsu set: the chicken pieces were thick & tender. The coating was crispy. My hubby asked for the second bowl of rice because it was that good.
– Maze Abura soba: delicious! This soupless ramen had generous portions (I asked for free extra noodle). The vegetables were fresh and crunchy. The meat was super flavorful and the onsen egg was soft and had creamy yolk.
I recently moved back to the US from Europe (lived in Europe for 10+years) and had heard how the tipping culture in the US had gotten out of control. Being that I lived in the US before I kind of understood it and was sort of ready for the tipping culture. However, I was not ready to be force to pay an exact percentage, added to my bill automatically, and then on top of this still being ask if I would like to add a tip when paying my bill. This is exactly what this restaurant does. It will automatically add 18% to your bill and will call it a Gratituity and then ask you for a tip after you swipe your card to pay. You can call it whatever you like, but this type of action directly falls in line with the definition of SCAM!. This is no difference then booking a hotel in Las Vegas and theae hotels charging a resort fee per day, when is not even a resort and you are not getting and resort amenities. SIMPLE SCAM TACTICS TO TAKE MORE MONEY FROM THE CUSTOMER AND THE CUSTOMER NOT RECEIVING ANYTHING EXTRA IN RETURN!
As for the food, I was with my family and we all order the Ramen- Soya, Miso and a spicy one. The spicy one was not spicy to my taste. I did prefer the miso from the soya. Overall, the taste is nothing special, but eatable and not too bad for eating once or if you crave Ramen.
Food tasted great. We ordered hawaian garlic shrimp, kara miso ramen and the dynamite bowl. Loved the sauce powder they used for hawaian garlic shrimp was very fresh. Dynamite bowl was great but felt that the seving size was small compared to rest.
