This sleek, upscale spot offers a menu ranging from sushi & hibachi to Korean specialties. BYOB.

My boyfriend and I moved to the area recently and finally was able to eat at Fujiyama after driving past it for months. This place is always busy, which is a good sign to us.
Food was delicious, staff was really friendly, and it had a very nice atmosphere. We were a little ahead of the dinner crowd so we were able to eat at a slower pace and just chat for a while before it started filling up.
There is regular dining in the upper floor while the hibachi is on the lower floor. We just ordered from their regular menu, but we will have to go back to experience the hibachi.
I highly recommend having a meal here.

Went here for a dinner date with my boyfriend and the experience was incredible! Everything from the service, the food, and the environment was incredible. The location is incredibly beautiful, the food was full of flavor yet so soft and fulfilling. I would reccomend anyone to enjoy a night out here!
Water was always topped off, the plates and utensils clean, and we were often checked on. I reccomend the chicken teryaki, or the sashimi tartar! The fuji apple is well used in so many dishes.
My boyfriend and I will be coming back!!

We came here as a group of 7 for our office lunch. The sushi was extremely fresh and tasty. The menu has a large selection of entrees and vegetarian option as well.
We ordered the fried ice cream for desert and it was super tasty! Our waitress was so nice and the owner came by to say hi! Very friendly environment and we’ll definitely be back!

We had the miso soup as appetizer. Then we had the fujiyama, viking, calmari tempura, and shrimp tempura sushi rolls. The fujiyama was amazing. The viking needed a little more flavor, and it wasn’t as spicy as expected. The calmari and the shrimp tempura were good. The sweet tea was a bit watered down, Arizona tea. Its a very quiet place. The do close for lunch for about an hour.

I always try to be patient, but this restaurant is very disorganized. There is only 1 waiter working in a busy day. Sushi is not good. They do not serve alcohol. Also, a lot of people had reservation at 8pm and we got seated around 9:30pm. People had to wait out the door because they prioritized and accepted a lot of DoorDash orders and those who had reservation needed to wait for like 2 hrs. Worst place to have a date especially on Valentine’s day!

Great Hibachi restaurant to go with a group from time to time. The service and food was equally great.
The price was normal for the food you get and had some nice drinks. Definitely visit this place if you are passing by Hackettstown.

I’m a faithful customer. My daughter also loves it Food, service, elegant /friendly atmosphere is 10 star for me!
Hibachi is a blast; specially when you need to get out of the routine, spoil yourself, or simply don’t want to cook and have a chef cook and serve you!
Fried ice cream is thee best.
Sushi for me is also really good. Sushi are good size pieces.

Fujiyama Japanese Hibachi Restaurant is a fantastic spot for a fun and delicious meal. The hibachi experience is always entertaining, with chefs who are engaging, friendly, and clearly skilled at what they do. The food comes out hot, fresh, and full of flavor — from the perfectly cooked meats and vegetables to the fried rice that’s always on point.
The sushi is also excellent, with fresh ingredients and generous portions. Service is welcoming and attentive, making the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. The atmosphere is great for families, date nights, or celebrations, and being BYOB is a huge plus.
Overall, Fujiyama consistently delivers great food, great service, and a fun dining experience. Highly recommended if you’re craving hibachi or quality Japanese cuisine.

I don’t usually write long reviews but Fujiyama will be my only exception. If I could, I would give this restaurant 6 stars. I’ve been eating here for a few years now and I can confidently say it’s one of the best, if not, the BEST in New Jersey. I live in an area where sushi isn’t the best and if it is of good quality then it’s expensive but one day I found Fujiyama while on a long drive. My mum and I ordered a Sushi and Sashimi Dinner for Two and oh my, the quality of fish was amazing. My favourite fish is Salmon and 9 times out of 10 you can’t go wrong with Salmon at any sushi restaurants but the Salmon here is better tasting and a good slab. It gets better though, I am never ever a fan of Tuna because 9 times out of 10 at sushi restaurants it tastes like iron or fishy but here was where I knew that the quality of fish was much better. Tuna actually tasted sweet to me and it had a fleshy texture and it wasn’t fishy or neon pink. The Tuna here is what made me stop my search for a better sushi restaurant because I knew that if this place had the freshest Tuna I’ve had (the fish that I’ve always seen people enjoy besides Salmon and the fish that I’ve never liked up until now) then this was THE sushi place to eat at.
Anyways, enough of my rant and praising. I know that this place has A LOT of customers already and an excellent rating and reviews, I just wanted to recommend it to anyone who reads this because it is an AMAZING sushi restaurant and I drive over 40 minutes just to eat here. The host is also VERY friendly as well and I’ve talked to him a lot of times. My only “complaint” for this restaurant is that it needs a bigger parking lot for the amount of customers it gets. LOL it’s not really a complaint and I just hope that they stay in business forever!!! 🙂

The best hibachi meal I’ve had so far. The food was flavorful! I had tofu & steak & both were yummy! I sampled my sister’s lobster & it was really good too! The noodles were perfectly cooked & seasoned!!
