However, the service could be improved. One staff member spoke to us in a way that felt a bit rude when we asked questions, and the interaction wasn’t very welcoming. Aside from that experience, everything else was great.
Amazing food, but I hope the service becomes as warm as the cuisine.
We booked this restaurant for February 14th expecting a nice evening. The atmosphere was average, but the service was absolutely terrible.
Our initial order was taken, but when we tried to add more dishes, we were constantly ignored. We had to repeat our requests several times, and the food simply never arrived. The staff kept saying, “Yes, sir, coming right away,” but nothing was brought to the table.
We waited for 1 hour and 40 minutes and barely ate anything. The meat was mediocre (4/10), the atmosphere was also a 3/10, and there wasn’t even any music to create a proper vibe.
On top of that, they have two different menus with different prices. The buffet prices shown online are completely different from the prices listed in the physical menu at the restaurant. If you still decide to experience this place, make sure to book online in advance, otherwise, you may end up paying the higher walk-in prices.
In summary, almost 400 AED for 1.5 hour of suffering and still feeling hungry.
If it were possible to give a zero star rating for service, I would.
The menu is thoughtfully curated, authentic, and refined, far from the overly westernized versions of Japanese food. Every dish reflects deep respect for tradition, combined with modern finesse and perfect execution. You can truly feel the craftsmanship, attention to detail, and pursuit of balance behind each plate.
A huge compliment to the entire team for delivering Japanese cuisine at such a high standard. This is not just a meal, but a true culinary journey.
An absolute must-visit.
Quality of beef especially the A5 Kuroge was so good. All staff are friendly and atmosphere was nice.
Take my advice when you visit. Go through the barber shop called Barbero, which is in the same building as the Rotana Hotel on the Financial Street side, near the ice cream shop. There is a small path that leads to the restaurant, and you’ll see signs along the way.
I also uploaded a photo to help guide other diners on where to enter and go. It might take a bit of effort to find, but once you get there, it’s definitely worth it.
