I’ve got to say the pizza here is still bomb. Easily the best in Pasadena and the only place I know that serves Detroit-style.
The cheesy, crispy crust corner pieces are my favorite part. They’re crunchy on the edges, gooey in the middle, and exactly what makes this style stand out.
Recently, we ordered a bunch of pizzas for a company lunch and it was a huge hit. The double pepperoni was especially popular, but every pie we got was solid.
If you love pizza, Fuji & Vis is worth checking out. Detroit-style isn’t easy to find in this area, and they continue to do it right every single time.

1st time ordering. Was fast and tasted awesome. The Chicken BBQ was great. The veggie 4 squar was also great. I appreciate them for their attention to detials and for using clean knife for cutting the veggie one. Highly recommend and will be back again.

had never tried Detroit-style pizza before walking into Fuji & Vi’s Pizza, and now I honestly don’t know how I lived without it.
This place is the definition of a hidden gem. It’s tucked away on the second floor with only three small tables, so you almost feel like you’re discovering a secret spot that no one else knows about. Total hole-in-the-wall vibes — and that just makes the food even better.
The pizza itself is unreal. The dough is fluffy and airy inside, yet somehow crispy and caramelized on the outside thanks to the brick cheese they use (higher fat content = next-level crust). It’s a deep-dish style baked in a cast-iron pan, and the edges are basically pizza gold — crunchy, cheesy, and packed with flavor.
They also make it super easy if you don’t want to dine in — you can order ahead for takeout by phone or through several of the popular food delivery apps, which is perfect since the place is small and easy to miss.
I can confidently say this is the best pizza I’ve ever had. Not just the best Detroit-style pizza — the best pizza, period.
If you’re even remotely near Fuji & Vi’s, go find it. Climb the stairs. Grab your order. And prepare to have your pizza standards permanently ruined.

Fantastic pizza, the dough has a nice yeasted flavor and the corners with the crispy lacy cheese are amazing. You can split an 8 square pie two ways toppings wise and they do allow for substitutions which is nice. Also really enjoyed the Caesar salad, really tasty homemade dressing and croutons. Lovely hostess who helped us out, will definitely be back!

Hidden gem, this place has some of the best pizza I’ve ever had in the area. I tried the Margherita, really great balance of flavors. Not too heavy on the sauce or cheese, and it didn’t give me that heavy, greasy feeling while eating it like a normal pizza does. This tells me they’re using good quality ingredients. Worth driving out to, I’m definitely coming back!

Really great Detroit style pizza (thicker crust with crispy cheesy edges) or just great pizza if you are a pizza lover. It’s a small space with 3 tables, but we saw lots of people get pizza to go. You can order a 4 slice or 8 slice pizza, which comes as a rectangle cut into squares. We tried the Margherita, BBQ chicken, and garlic cheesy bread with marinara sauce. All were very tasty, but I liked the Margherita the most. It’s about a 15-20 min wait for pizza because they make it fresh. You can call in ahead if you don’t want to wait. Try it out!

All the great Yelp reviews caught our eye for this pizza place, and we came by for some deep dish pizza. This place is a little hidden. There is parking structure in the back. I parked on the street and walked in from the front. We went upstairs and made a right to get to this pizza place. There was a guitar next to the cashier. I wonder if that is a decoration or there will be live music one of these days. Chef/cashier was friendly, and he gave us good recommendation of the pizza. We ordered a 4 squares pepperoni and a 4 square argument (pineapple and ham). It took them 15 minutes to prepare, which I do not mind. The pizza came out very hot and fresh. One of the yelp elites mentioned about the secret spicy, and we asked for it. The pizza tasted awesome by itself, and adding the secret spicy is adding sprinkles to the cake! This is the best deep dish pizza I have ever had. Highly recommended this place, and I will come back again for sure.

We moved here from New York and we LOVE this pizza! It’s taken 8 years to find good pizza in LA and we found it in Pasadena. The crust is out of this world and the ingredients are high quality. The sides, including the salad are not only delicious, but they’re made with great care. My husband and I feel honored to be there customers.

This place went straight to our top pizza spots in SoCal. First time trying Detroit style pizza and what better way than getting it from someone who is a native to Michigan. The chunky tomato sauce was flavorful, cheese just the right amount of cheesiness and created a perfect caramelized crust, flavor of the sausage & pepperoni was spot on. Even though we live about 2 hrs away, we will be more than willing to make the drive just to have some of this amazing pizza again and again.

If you are looking for a good deep dish pizza look no further. This has to be the best deep dish in Pasadena. It’s on the second floor of the building it’s in but well worth the the walk up to get it. I’ll definitely be coming back, those crispy edges leave me wanting more.
