If I could rate it 10 stars I would. Amazing atmosphere insode the building. I didn’t know how to use chopsticks, one of the workers saw me struggling and taught me a simple trick how to use them. The food was super high quality and clearly made with love and the prices were absolutely worth it.

I’ve just discovered what might be the best-kept secret in town – Fuji Sushi House! This family-owned treasure offers an experience that chain restaurants simply can’t match.
Walking in, you’re immediately embraced by the cozy, authentic atmosphere that makes you feel like you’ve been welcomed into someone’s home. The staff treats you like family from the moment you arrive, starting with complimentary miso soup that warms both body and soul – rich, flavorful, and the perfect beginning to an exceptional meal.
The chicken tempura appetizer is absolutely outstanding – light, crispy, and perfectly cooked. But the real magic happens when the rolls arrive. The Bourbon Roll delivers complex flavors that dance across your palate, while the Super Star Roll truly deserves its name with presentation and taste that will leave you speechless.
What truly sets Fuji Sushi House apart is the remarkable freshness of their fish. Each piece tastes like it was swimming just hours before landing on your plate – a testament to their unwavering commitment to quality.
After wanting to try this local gem for months, I’m kicking myself for waiting so long! Supporting small, family-owned businesses like this one isn’t just good for the community – it’s a treat for your taste buds too.
If you’re looking for sushi that doesn’t just satisfy but genuinely impresses, Fuji Sushi House should be at the top of your list. We have found our new favorite spot, and I’m already planning my next visit!

The food is amazing. The hot food comes out incredibly hot and the cold food comes out incredibly cold. The sushi is quite fresh. The service is really good, but there can be a little bit of a wait for the food, (as they seem to be a little short-staffed) but it really isn’t that bad. Once they bring the food out you understand why, the food is very good. Everything appears to be made by hand after you order it. No frozen egg rolls like you seem to get at every Chinese place. These are made by hand with a lot of meat inside. We will definitely be coming back. Just be warned, they have like 10 pages of sushi you can order, do try not to get carried away.

Very wonderful food and service. When you first sit they provide a napkin they lay on your lap and a warm towelette to clean your hands. I had the Yakisoba with Pork bowl with was delicious. My husband had the Funny Hot Roll and the house salad. They three in a complementary miso soup for us both and an cut orange dessert

I’ve been to Fuji many times and have consistently left feeling amazing. The service is lovely and makes this one of the most hospitable places I’ve ever dined. The presentation of every single dish is impeccable and the sushi is genuinely the freshest and most flavorful I’ve had. The atmosphere is clean, cozy, and incredibly relaxing seeing as it’s often just you, the sushi chef, and the server. Don’t be fooled if it’s ever empty though…..this place is a gem that I’ve heard nothing but high praises for! The Aloha, Lion, and Mary Lover’s rolls are all incredible!

I tried sushi for the first time and decided to give them a try based on the reviews compared to others in the area. I was originally going to Sushi Masa- but I have a shellfish allergy and this was my first time, and SM does not have the ingredients on their menu-but Fuji does.
I’m so grateful I gave them a chance. They were so nice and kind. Very helpful with letting me know what to expect and what I could do differently for my sensitive tastebuds. The service was amazing. The food was superb. The store was a literal hidden gem. When I want sushi again- I’m going there!

One of if not my favorite sushi place in Louisiana. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, like you were coming over to someone’s house to eat with them in their dining room. The staff was so hospitable and considerate, the owner was kind and attentive and just all around wonderful. Oh and the food was absolutely top tier! Immaculate presentation with just such incredibly high quality sushi, sashimi, and nigiri (I’m sure the rest is great too, this is just what we ordered). Please so patron this establishment if you’re in Lafayette.

Fuji Sushi is the best sushi restaurant in Lafayette, LA. It’s rated highest by Facebook’s Foodies of Lafayette. They follow the traditional roots of sushi—the formality of it all. Warm towels are provided upon arrival and again after dinner. It’s a small place that allows so much attention to detail. Ginger is amazing as front of house hostess and server—if she’s seen you once, she will remember you and what you like to drink. Miso soup is complimentary, as well as the beautiful oranges afterward. Tik is the sushi chef and creates beautiful rolls and plating. Check out their love boat! Wow. Every time we visit, it’s as if we were invited to their home for dinner. It’s a hidden gem in Lafayette, and it’s fantastic.
