We’ve always loved Fuji Sushi and Hibachi for both the food and service, but this recent visit was disappointing.
When we arrived, we waited about 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. The server then took names, but although we were there first, another group of the same size was sat ahead of us. We were seated on the hibachi side instead of the sushi side (where we came for) because there was no more room. That turned out to be a blessing in disguise, because the hibachi chef was fantastic — fun, engaging, and made the kids’ night!
Unfortunately, the service from our actual server was lacking. Everyone at the hibachi table who ordered sushi received their food, except for mine and my husband’s rolls. They didn’t come out until about 20 minutes later, by which time most people were finishing up. During all that time, our server never once checked on us. When she finally brought the rolls, she returned just a few minutes later with boxes and checks, without asking if the food was okay or if we wanted dessert. It was my birthday celebration, and we had planned on ordering dessert, but it was clear she was ready to move us out, so we went elsewhere for that.
The food itself was, as always, delicious and beautifully prepared, but the service this time left so much to be desired. I hope this was just an off night, because we’ve always had great experiences here before.

I recently visited Fuji Sushi and Hibachi Grill for lunch and had a wonderful experience. We were promptly seated upon arrival, and the food was delivered surprisingly quickly. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal; the sushi rolls were delicious and satisfying. What’s more, the prices were reasonable, making it a great value for the quality and quantity of food. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience that left me impressed with the fast seating, efficient service, and delectable offerings.

There was a bit of miscommunication on the rolls I ordered- but I think I could have handled it a bit differently:
I’m allergic to avocados, so I asked they be substituted with cucumbers. One roll was, and it may have just been because I pointed it out on the menu, however, another one was not and came to me with avocados, but it also didn’t list avocados in the menu. The wait staff was amazing in correcting it for me!
The food was phenomenal! I got miso soup, an appetizer and 3 different rolls than I normally do and I could not tell you which one I loved the most, they were all delicious and fresh!
Will definitely eat here again. Excuse the half eaten rolls in the photos, they were so good I didn’t think to stop for photos.

Used to always order from here it was great not sure what happened but I went to pick up my order when they said it’d be ready I assume they never started I had to wait almost 30 minutes wouldn’t care too much if the food would’ve been good but there was no soy sauce so absolutely no flavor the chicken was dry and bland and hardly any eggs which overall wouldn’t have minded if the food at least tastes good. (All I got was chicken fried rice)

Fuji was a great spot for sushi in Sioux Falls. The Queen Roll especially stood out—super fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed. While I haven’t tried every sushi place in town, this one definitely impressed me and I’d go back again.

I’ve eaten at this place many times, food is always good the presentation is wonderful. I’m unsure of the workers name but I’ve had him as a server twice now, each time very rude. When I first had him as a server it was very packed and just assumed it was an off day of being stressed from having a lot of people come in at once. I come in with a couple people in the restaurant and he still has the same attitude. Cutting off my partner when they spoke and just being overall short with us. Such a shame.

Food is always great here. Dine in has friendly service and warm atmosphere. I haven’t had much luck with the app, but ordering on the site works great and it’s super easy.
