Sleek venue featuring signature sushi rolls & hibachi entrees, plus a full bar & daily happy hour.

This place is seriously a gem. The moment you walk in, you can tell they’ve put a lot of thought into everything—from the layout of the restaurant to the vibe and overall atmosphere. It feels modern but still super cozy, with just the right mix of energy and relaxation, whether you’re at the sushi bar or one of the hibachi tables.
The food? Amazing. Super fresh sushi, creative rolls, and the hibachi is a whole experience on its own—fun, flavorful, and cooked to perfection right in front of you. You can tell the chefs know what they’re doing and actually care about every dish that goes out.
What really stands out, though, is the attention to detail. The menu is clean and easy to navigate, the plating is beautiful, and even the little things—like how the tables are set up or how friendly and on-point the staff is—just make the whole experience better.
Definitely one of those places you end up wanting to come back to, whether it’s for a casual night out or something a little more special. Highly recommend.

My wife and I live in Summerville and go to Fuji Sushi Bar and Grill here in town all of the time. Today we were in Mt. Pleasant and wanted to grab New Year’s dinner early so we went to Fuji down there. Same great food and service! Stop there if you want something great for lunch or dinner!

♥️ ROCKSTAR SUSHI!! My friend and I ate sushi at the bar. They accommodated me with my NO (minimal) carbs diet, and omitted the rice, at my request. I had a Double Tuna Roll ($16), which is spicy tuna, cucumber and avocado topped with seared tuna. Also, a Tanaka Roll ($15), which is spicy tuna, avocado and cucumber topped with spicy salmon. They were both fantastic! Probably because I didn’t have rice, I was still hungry, so ordered two more. (I realize without the rice, it’s no longer sushi!) My friend got the Steak Tataki Roll, and said it was awesome. (I totally forgot to get pics…sorry!!) FYI- they also can do GF/gluten free. Our server was super, and the ambiance was perfect (not too loud). It was crowded, especially for a Wednesday night, but everyone was having fun. Parking is abundant, but was crowded at six o’clock. We were so pleased with our whole experience, and will definitely be going back…(Why is it that the best sushi restaurants seem to mostly be in strip-malls?!)
*UPDATE: I got the very same thing again for takeout last night. It was even better this time, especially with the fire sauce that comes with the double tuna. The girls at the takeout counter were all super cool and fun too. Love Fuji!

This was my first time going to eat here. My boyfriend has been a regular here for years & suggested eating here. I ordered a California roll (add cream cheese) for my appetizer. It was pretty good & worth the $8 it vost. For our entrees we ordered two of the hibachi teriyaki chicken bowls. They came with miso soup, which was wonderful. The staff was pleasant and somewhat attentive. It was kinda busy when we went so the slow service was understandable & unavoidable. The waitress really should have focused on refilling our beverages though. It doesn’t take long at all to go & top off someone’s drink. She could’ve even brought out two at a time. This is something to keep in mind. Not having to wait 5 min or more for a refill= happier customers & larger tips. However, she was very friendly & even let me have the veggies my bf didn’t want, added to my bowl. I really liked the atmosphere here. The attention to detail & use of traditional Japanese decor was awesome! The bathrooms were super clean & even had hand lotion! For the both of us the bill was around $70. The rolls were priced reasonably but the entrees definitely were overpriced. Spending that amount of money we couldve went to Yokoso or somewhere else that actually has the tables where they do tricks & cook in front of you. I’d definitely go back here, even if it was just for the rolls haha. Overall the experience was a good one & I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Been coming here for many years – off & on to various degrees. Food has always been fresh & service fairly solid; BUT this comes with a little higher pricetag (unless you hit the $15-18 lunch specials, hibachi that’s not cooked in front of you over $30 per entree is normally a splurge…
Once inside the “run of the mill facade” you are taken into an Asian sushi garden that feels a little more luxurious.
This time, a menu item struck me: sizzling steak served on a hot marble slab? Unsure if it’s a recent add or if it’s always been overlooked (due to the $50 price point), but… I was calculating and thinking about something different this time… a splurge!
If you think about the taste and value for your money, not to mention the photographic fun-factor… You cannot go wrong! #steaksizzle for days… and a 14 oz Ribeye with veggies that you cook to your desired temperature. The table fun and I had leftovers!
Decent Happy Hour 4-7– Pama Marg is worth your time. Ginza Pizza has been good in the past. Didn’t try on this trip, but maybe on the next version of Treat Yo Self Steak Edition!

Great experience. They told us it would be a 25 minute wait for a table but it was really less than 10. The spicy pomegranate margarita was fantastic as well as the gyoza. All three of the rolls we got were also delicious and were very large. Decent happy hour specials, even on Friday.

Really good sushi and great lunch specials! I had the shrimp and vegetables tempura bento box and it was very plentiful! I couldn’t even eat it all! My husband had the “resolution roll” and really loved it by warns its very spicy! So, if you like heat, go for that one! They’ve always got great specials going. There is a nice outside area to sit and the inside is very cozy with a small bar area. It’s got a great neighborhood feel to it!

Ok so I do A LOT of Sushi reviews, because I love sushi, and because it’s just UNBELIEVABLE how great the sushi at Mr.Tokyo’s in Charlotte,NC is. Now that I am in Charleston, I keep trying different restaurants in the Hope’s that 1 will come close to the fresh, deliciousness that Mr. Tokyo has MASTERED! Fuji sent out a flyer that said “best Sushi in Charleston!” So I just KNEW I had finally found a local replacement for Mr. Tokyo…#ididnt The sushi was ok…the service was cool…not worth a DRIVE to Mt. P, but if you’re over here and want sushi…it will do.

Not only is the sushi outstanding, but they also offer a wide range of other Japanese dishes that are equally delicious. The service was prompt, and I never had an empty glass. It’s evident that the staff here take pride in providing a fantastic dining experience.
If you’re a sushi lover like me, Fuji Sushi is an absolute must-visit. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their menu. Kudos to the entire team for consistently delivering such an exceptional dining experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
