I eat here often for lunch. It’s still pretty affordable for what you get. Today I tried adding a side salad and I won’t be doing that again. It’s just iceberg lettuce in a bowl with a small sprinkling of shredded carrot on top. It’s not worth $3 (and that’s saying something).

Absolutely love this place! Usually get the hibachi chicken and steak. Dinner comes with soup and salad. Definitely enough for 2 meals. Ask for extra white sauce! I pour it over my rice and chicken. Delicious

The food is always great and the service is fast and efficient. This is still the best place for hibachi style cooking in a 100 mile radius of Goldsboro! I would highly recommend this location for authentic Japanese food!

I’ve been eating at “Fuji’s” since I was a kid! Sure, they’ve had some growing pains since moving to their new location. I was disheartened when a new hibachi business opened in town and everyone seemed to flock there while leaving Fuji in the dust. I’ve tried the “other” place and I still MUCH prefer Fuji’s food, atmosphere and cost. I do wish this business could capture some of the magic they had in the late 90’s and early 00’s, because it would be hard to get a table for lunch or dinner back then. I’ll continue to prefer this business over the “other” place on Berkeley Blvd.

I have definitely had better hibachi for much cheaper. The food here sucked! I was super bummed after reading the reviews.. whoever prepared the food dumped loads of pepper in the flavorless rice. Both me & my fiancée were turned off as that’s all we tasted. don’t even get me started on the poor quality meat and pathetic side of vegetables …….

This place seems to be loved by the community, but it must solely be a result of a lack of good affordable hibachi options in the area. The “fried” rice was clearly thrown in a pan with a small amount of soy sauce for a few seconds. The chicken was very dry and unseasoned. The chicken was also not properly trimmed so much of the portion was inedible fatty trimmings. The vegetables were not steamed through and also were not seasoned whatsoever. Essentially I received a plate of dry unseasoned chicken, on top of unseasoned cold steamed white rice, with a bland medley of vegetables. My wife got upset with me because I literally refused to consume the disgusting atrocity that was brought to the table. This is something that never happens. The server was a very polite and helpful young lady though. She did a good job at bringing me the disgusting work of the back of the house. My advice. Go to the grocery store and buy a clove of garlic, vegetables, rice, chicken breast, and a bottle of soy sauce. I’m almost certain that even the most inexperienced home cook would make something far better with just those ingredients.
