We recently took a group of seven to Fuji Steakhouse for hibachi while family was in town, including a 2-year-old and it was a fantastic experience. The portions were good, and the hibachi meal came with soup, salad, and shrimp, which was a nice bonus.

Our chef was awesome and really made the night fun for everyone. He got the whole table involved (yes, the food tosses!) and even turned the onion volcano into a playful “choo-choo train” moment that had our nephew totally entertained. The show was great, and it was so fun watching everything cooked right in front of us.

I also ordered the espresso martini and it was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks, and we left happy. Since it’s in a shopping center, we ended the evening with a little walk around to see the Christmas lights and do some window shopping, perfect after dinner.

Fuji Steak House in Redmond offers the classic teppanyaki experience many diners seek, with skilled chefs cooking and entertaining right at your table. Service is frequently attentive and accommodating, chefs and staff will adjust things like salt and butter on request, which shows flexibility and genuine care for guests’ preferences.

However, the prices feel high compared with what you actually get on the plate. While the hibachi performance adds a fun element, the food itself sometimes doesn’t match the cost, especially given the fairly limited flavor profile; sauces tend to be predominantly soy-based with little complexity or variety beyond the basics.

The menu does have some unique options worth trying, particularly if you’re coming back for repeat visits or want sushi alongside your hibachi, but expectations should be tempered as the experience can feel more about the show and less about bold, layered flavors.

Overall, Fuji Steak House delivers friendly service and a memorable interactive meal, but food quality and flavor depth may not justify its higher price point for some guests.

One of the best restaurant experiences I’ve ever had, and we will definitely be coming back! We made a reservation for 4pm on a Sunday, and it was just perfect. There weren’t many other people there, so it was nice and quiet. All of the staff were very friendly. The teppanyaki experience was incredible, and the food was even better. Our chef was very friendly, entertaining, and he was having a great time. Portions were great. Fried rice was the right choice. The shrimp, lobster, and steak were some of the best we’ve ever had! but the chicken was a little dry. Both the tempura ice cream and the mochi were delicious, well balanced desserts. They sing an amazing birthday song, and gave us sherbet!

Expensive teppanyaki restaurant. Service is meh. Fried rice, steak and scallops are decent but portion is small for the price. Dishes range from $50-$60+ which would be double the size at other teppantaki places. Chefs are nice and entertaining.
Disclaimer: I hope they serve smaller groups better than they served us. We were a large group at night.

I Just left the restaurant absolutely mad. My husband and I showed up at 8:30, an hour before close. We get sat like normal. There were other couples that showed up after. We ordered two appetizers. My husband wanted sushi. I ordered a 70 dollar plate, lobster and filet. The waitress looks at us and says “only one meal.” We say yes to start with. Than she says “well, we aren’t going to cook it out here if its only one.” Mind you my husband ordered 3 sushi plates and we ordered appetizers. So I canceled my order. I thought for a moment there wernt any cooks. Than I see a cook come out and do a whole show for another table. You don’t go to hibachi and order a 70 meal to have it made in the kitchen. I also didnt see any fine print where it says that they will not cook your food for you if other ppl want 100 dollars in sushi instead of filet and sushi. We left in 30 minutes. The bill was still 100 dollars. We probably would have spent at least another 100 of the waitress hadn’t looked me up and down and told me no.

I took my younger son here for the first time on October 27th, walking in without a reservation somewhat impulsively.
I can say with certainty, this is probably the only place my son (10) enjoyed the experience of eating out and not just enjoying the food. I had a really pleasant impression of all of the staff at this location as they were all elegant and cheerful. It felt a lot like being on vacation, especially since while we were there, a storm broke out overhead.

We booked a table for one of our children’s birthday and had a great time. The location is clean, well appointed with an excellent layout. The food was excellent as was our service. We ordered some very specific food for one of our more ‘choosey’ eaters and they were more than happy to accommodate. The sushi roll we ordered came with great added effects such as fire! (Dragon roll) and a mock up dragons head.

Our chef was great and really entertained our kids with some cool handy work. Pricing was good and within the ball park.

Overall this was an excellent place to celebrate and we will be coming back in a few weeks.

The food was amazing, and the service was just as great. My son is extremely picky, and both our server and our chef, Ifran, went out of their way to make sure he was happy. Such a friendly, welcoming experience—we will definitely be back again.

Not sure what people are complaining about pricing. So long as you are ordering a lower priced protein like chicken, shrimp or just a steak its hard to find a complete dinner for $30-$40 these days.

The service is a bit of a miss mistaking the tables orders but rectified it quickly.

Don’t sleep on the tempura ice cream it’s actually really well balanced and the cake is not overly sweet, reminding me of a tempura version of a baked alaska

first time here last night we went as a group for a birthday. firstly, the hostess was very nice and fun. hands down to her. our cook was not so much. very bland personality. the liquid marijuana drink was a flop for us. the pina colada was good but very sweet. shrimp and lobster plate is way over priced the meat was really good but the proportion you get for $60 was not worth it. nobody liked the fried rice. My suggestion is don’t pay for the upgrade. It’s not worth it. That was extremely disappointing.. i didn’t care for their vegetable mix they could do better it’s a lot of zucchini and onions it would be nice to have some carrots and potatoes to separate that. The brussels sprouts are kind of a weird add-on. 2 people in the party complained about the chicken. said theydid not like it and another person complained that they can cook better and that this place was just OK, but not impressed at all. I have to agree with her. The fried rice was extremely disappointing. You might as well order white rice. It’s not worth the price to upgrade.. It really wasn’t anything special.i absolutely hated that they charge you $15 if you want to share a plate even if it’s the kid plate. i asked why they do that because it is absurd and her answer was “it’s just our rule” crazy! i also didn’t like that they add an automatic 20% gratuity to the bill. it should be my choice how much to tip not yours. the italian soda was good but at $9 a drink for a small glass was a rip off. their soup and salad are terrible! my bill was $252 after $25 in tax and the $50 gratuity they added my bill was $327 for 3 adult plates and 2 kids plates and 2 italian sodas and 2 alcohol drinks and a soda. oh btw the soda is $5 and so is lemonade. overall it was just ok for us and we won’t be back but we did see an indian restaurant on the lower floor we are going to try. i didn’t take photos of the food as i didn’t feel it was anything special. they need to add a star for pricing bc mine would have been a 1 star. there are way better spots out there for the price. adult plates started over $30 kids started at $23
