The food is absolutely delicious. The salmon and shrimp teppanyaki were cooked perfectly—tender, flavorful, and just the right amount of sizzle. The miso soup was spot-on too, rich and comforting in that way only a really good miso can be. And then came the grand finale—the banana foster dessert. Wow. Sweet, flavorful, and so satisfying, it was the perfect way to end the meal.
The service was excellent. The food was prepared just right. The chef makes a good show, and the flavors were amazing.
The highlight for us was the dessert of course. They caramelize the cake and banana on the grill. And then they add icecream to the grill!! A couple of scoops are then fried and dried into sticky wafer. And all of these come together in a heavenly combo. This was a unique angle to the teppanyaki experience for us.
Service was amazing and friendly. And we liked it that they confirmed the order to make sure all is prepared well.
Overall, a must stop. We will be remembering that dessert for a while.
For some decent sushi and an amazing teppanyaki experience, Fuji hits the spot. I’d stick to their teppanyaki personally.
The chef was amazing. He had a ton of passion and put on quite the show.
They have a limited selection of Japanese beer, rice wine, and whisky. Not the best selection, but you can make it work.
The order of the Teppanyaki is salad and miso soup first which was a perfect start. Then you choose your meats, anywhere from ribeye, tenderloin, lobster, salmon, or market price lobster. We chose the lobster, shrimp, salmon, and ribeye. Our favorite was between the lobster and the ribeye. The chef was extremely entertaining cooking all these items and we even got to participate which made the experience Awesome!
You have to end the night with the cooked ice cream by the chef, which was also entertaining and yummy!
We also got to try Japanese Asahi beer, and some great tasting sake!
I highly recommend this restaurant, as it is the best restaurant I’ve experienced in Costa Rica!
The only complaint we had was 1. They dont charge in $ only colones, which we thought odd considering the restaurant is located within a hotel and 2. They have a japanese style room witt tatami and it was not offered as an optikn for dinner which was a same. But mother than that it was lovely.
I got 3 pieces of chicken 1 shrimp and two pieces of fish.
