My husband and I live nearby, and have heard great things about Fuji Mountain Steakhouse from colleagues and neighbours. Last Sunday we finally decided to go for their hibachi, and see for ourselves.

We didn’t have a reservation, but once we confirmed we were there for the dinner hibachi, we were taken to a hibachi table with two other couples, and our orders were taken & the fun began!!

Overall, we really enjoyed the entire hibachi experience, both with the skills and friendly personality of the chef, and also with the quality of the proteins that we ordered as well as their portion sizes.

I decided to go for their Scorpion Bowl cocktail , which was colossal and seemed like a lot of fun.

Overall we had a great experience and will definitely be back! Next time we want to go with our friends that live nearby as well.

my waitress, she said her name was “Jay” was very ingorant and didn’t have any sense. I ordered a cocktail and when she asked for my ID, she read my birthday out loud so others could hear. she also asked, what county I was from. I told her, here in America and she didn’t believe me and kept prying saying I was different.

As a partial deaf man , I actually felt very unwelcome with my service animal . I made sure to speak with the staff and declare our intentions just to have a quick lunch and my service dog is up to code on all laws and has all appropriate papers to provide validation of my statements. As a resident of Indiana who takes my service animal on a place and to various spiting events, I found it to be profound that we were so unwelcome. Thankfully, at somepoint management gave in then let us sit out side . As they watched in amazement of what I believe to be their first ever experience with a service animal , they offered us to move close to the door, a small win of sorts. To be transparent, I don’t believe the poor management of this establishment has anything to do to reflect on the food or the workers. When leadership fails, all else falls in place . I would say how ever the bartender Dom and the other gentleman who brought us food and checked on us “Gavin • were amazing . At least forced out side had a great view of the homeless people 🙁 I wish there was not people sleeping outside near us and yelling at all people . Over sad for this ownership and I hope they make necessary changes .

I love eating at Fuji Mountain. It’s one of my favorite local spots to go to. They make some of the best sushi . The food was hot, fresh and delicious. I ate at the bar and service was very good. I definitely recommend eating here.

Attended this establishment with a reserved & large party of 9+ people for the hibachi part of the restaurant on a Saturday night between the hours of 9pm-11pm. The customer service was moderate as the servers were nice upon our party’s entry but were the opposite upon exiting. Along with the unique interaction I had when 1 staff member questioned me about not paying my bill & his co-worker stood oddly behind me with a unfriendly glare towards me. My cook was extremely kind, amusing, & pleasant as he cooked & served the meals. I did have the unfortunate experience of seeing a mouse in the kitchen area as my table was seated in the view of inside the kitchen. Other than that the atmosphere was overwhelming with the conversations being very loud & the employees not really providing a sense of calmness or sincerity.

-The complimentary soup, tasted like flavored water with sliced mushrooms and store-bought chopped onion flavoring.

-The complimentary salad had a soft yet crunchy texture & the flavor of the dressing was exceptional as it resonated with a mix of thousand island & vadalia onion. While me & my colleagues all ordered the same salad, ingredients differed among us.

-I also ordered the 6 ct. Volcano Roll. The first was bland and the flavors did not merge properly, however the second cleansed my palate with a distinct taste of ginger, salmon, crab flavors, and an avocado blend. I didn’t finish this piece of my meal because I had a gut sense I shouldn’t.

-The fried rice was flavorful, with a good quantity of garlic and a good balance, especially with the addition of yum yum sauce. The veggie blend was a fantastic addition to the rice because it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. However, the dinner took a turn for the worst when the chicken was added, which was chewy and chalky, mildly seasoned but not massaged into the interior. Furthermore, the sauce in which the chicken was cooked did not combine well with the other flavors. My sprite was delicious, as was the saki which was smooth & tasteful.

This place food&drinks was good years ago. I havent been here in years. Stopped by and ordered shrimp/scallops hibachi lunch special. They gave me a very small portion 4shrimp & 3scallops. Also, My food disnt taste fresh & came out cold not hot they warmed it up tho. The bartender is rude and show favoritism to the customers she knows! 2 of my drinks was half way filled why other ppl drinks was filled to the rim! Another customer was complaining about the small portions too.

Well folks, if my rating isn’t evidence enough, skip to my last statement ⤵️

I took my date here since we had wanted to go for the longest. We decided against the hibachi for some alone time, but should have noticed how empty the place was, and should have figured it was for a good reason. Clue #1

The bathroom was an abomination. I’m sure the new strain of COVID is in there somewhere. We had to seat ourselves because no one present to greet us, and the two ppl working there seemed to have forgotten us when we got their attention. There were maybe three or four other families in the restaurant when we sat down – they confused our orders with theirs. When they got it right, they forgot our soup, then forgot our salad, then brought the wrong drinks. I decided to drink the soda they gave me anyway (wasn’t a big deal) and realized IT WAS FLAT. **other reviews say the same**. Clue#2

At this point my date is annoyed but I LOVE Asian cuisine so I’m rooting for them….Friends… the food looked GREAT for the price ( even though they fill you with rice), but one bite into both our dishes, we both looked at each other with disgust. The food was TERRIBLE. The meat tasted like salt n peppered shower shoes, the sesame chicken tasted like frozen nuggets, the salad was 70% Japanese mayo, the miso soup…well I liked it…until we realized the bowls were dirty!

The icing on the cake was the “flower vase” (see my photos). I thought it was funny (IYKYK) – my date thought it was a sign we should leave. Clue #3

Overall, while the staff seemed nice, the food was so terrible I almost called the police to report it as fraud. Don’t eat here unless you feel like your taste buds deserve to be disrespected .

It’s a great place for nice family gatherings. They cook the food right in front of you and it amazes the children.

The food was great, our chef was great but one thing that bothers me is our waiter (I forgot his name) was very short with us and not a pleasant individual. He started off kinda nice but then he became very short and standoffish. After paying our bill and packing our leftovers, we had just seen the couple at the table with us get paper bags so we asked him if we could get 2 bags, and he said “we don’t have no bag” so he scurried away and when he came back thru we said it to him again and he said the same thing again. The waiter from the next table heard us and came over and apologized and said I’ll get your bags. It’s safe to say if you don’t like people or some people in particular maybe your working in the wrong business. We won’t be returning to this establishment again. Thank you
