My first time here so wanted to try something other than hibachi. Also, the hibachi tables had a super long wait. Ended sitting at the bar to speed up the time to get food. The bartender was fantastic. He balanced his interactions so they were helpful but not irritating. Have to say I was disappointed when I received my food. I ordered the chicken tempura which I have had many times at other places. The long spears of chicken with super hard tempura breading was a surprise. They were ok but the breading was way too hard and there was not much chicken inside them. The rice was very good thankfully. But I was dissatisfied overall especially because of the price. I might would go back to give the hibachi a try.

Best Japanese steakhouse in Rapid City South Dakota to eat at! I would recommend the Filet Mignon with Shrimp . The portions are huge so bring your appetite with you. They also serve a full bar menu as well as beer.

We are from out of town and have a favorite local Hibachi grill, however this one beat ours hands down!
We got the Combination dinner with filet mignon and shrimp. Also added a side of Salmon.
We felt the filet mignon and Salmon portions were on the smaller side. The flavor was different than our usual grill, but surprisingly great. The yum yum sauce was put on the rice which added a sweet flavor. The service was amazing. The chef used the water spraying toy to get our son wet, which he laughed and laughed. He thought that was the best thing ever.
Very clean environment, each grill comfortably sat 10-11 people, which is way more than other grills we have been to.

6 of us, 1 vegetarian. Asked waitress to please cook her food in the kitchen so it wasn’t contaminated with meat and the waitress said oh they cook the vegetables first so it will work out. No it didn’t work out! They cooked all the meat and stuff together. Then my daughter asked twice for them to cook hers in the kitchen. She had cold rice by then and the portion size was like a child’s meal. They wouldn’t even give a discount for her meal. Then I got sick from the food and we just paid and left. We’ve been there many times but never again after today. Embarrassing time for showing our out of town guests this place.

Our dining experience here was ok. We had the hibachi grill, and idk what the title is for the guy who cooks on it, but our guy didnt have a very cool show like the others around us. That was a little disappointing but I get it, its probably terrible doing the same thing over and over again. But the worst thing is by having an allergy, you have to have your meal cooked in the back. Which is totally fine, except the portion sizes are extremely tiny! I get that part of it is based off how many people are seated at the grill, but every seat was taken except for one and my meal had at least half the amount of rice and vegetables that everyone else got. Basically this experience was subpar to ok and i probably wont go back.

Their good overall rating tells the story. Delicious food, ample and fun staff, entertaining chefs and a wonderful menu. They were even kind enough to let my very well behaved bulldog sit at my feet at the bar. Several people stopped by to say how cute she was. This was my second Christmas eating here. Top notch.

Very typical hibachi restaurant. Good food and good service. In general hibachi food is like a fast food restaurant, nothing is slow cooked and tender, but the flavors are good and it’s fun to watch the meal being prepared.

Every time I’ve eaten here, it’s been absolute fire. I like that you can make the entrees healthy with just some slight mods. If you can’t get (or don’t want) a hibachi table, Just sit at a normal non-theatrical table and the food is the same. Sushi also very good, and I’m not just saying for Rapid City, it’s just good. Also very reasonably priced.
