I came here just about 8 minutes before they closed and I was still able to order sushi and a salad to go. Service was fast and friendly, and I was impressed by the interior. Felt cosmopolitan, urban. Fast forward to bringing the food home, and if take out could be sexy, then they accomplished it. Fresh salad and sushi, beautiful containers and every need met. Looks like they have their own delivery car too. Will go in person, well in advance of closing for my next visit to soak up the atmosphere.

Do not get the boba tea. It is $7 for about 14oz. And they don’t give a boba straw. The boba was inconsistent, had hard ones (in the small plate in the photo). The give a spoon and expect you to dig for the boba through the ice. The sushi was a bit bland.

Went for 20 year anniversary, best food in Fairbanks. Undiscovered by many and I’m ok with that. Hibachi or Sushi is great. Go for the yum yum sauce. Rice is nice and fluffy like it’s supposed to be.

Fuji has been one of our favorite places ever since they opened. I’ve tried virtually all their special rolls over the years and have always been pleased. That they remember my tea whenever I come in is especially sweet.

For $14 you get a whopping 9 pieces of Fried Calamari / squid rings. Way too overpriced no matter where you are, similar story for the rest of the food. Waiter is very nice though.

I really like Fuji. Dine in and take out orders come fast. I’ve had several kinds of sushi and appetizers here. I saw someone left a bad review about the Boba several months ago. Last time I got it they did give me a Boba straw and it was a very good Strawberry Boba. They actually called to tell me they were out of taro, which was no big deal. I had never tried Strawberry so it was kind of a good thing. I can splurge here on date night with the special rolls or when I still want to eat out on a budget they have many bento boxes and dinner boxes for cheaper and you get A LOT of food with those. I notice that they don’t use peeled shrimp. It’s something that I wasn’t used to, but I’ve actually grown to like the added texture and flavor. The atmosphere is very nice and relaxing. The staff is very kind. Oh and try the fried cheesecake!

Perhaps one of the best Japanese restaurants I have been to. Sashimi was as fresh as they can be. lunch menu is definitely something to try. They might also be the only Japanese restaurant in town that serves Uni Sashimi. Highly recommend giving it a try if you’re feeling adventurous. They also serve White Tuna which is incredible. Will definitely be back again.
