We visited this restaurant today and was truly impressed by the freshness of the sushi and how delicious every dish was. I was also touched by how friendly the staff were and how their children were helping out at the restaurant so earnestly. I don’t live in Virginia Beach, and I had never had such fresh sushi in this area before, so it made me really happy. I definitely look forward to coming back again soon!

This place is my hidden gem!! They have very fresh fish for an affordable price. Lunch all you can eat is 15 while dinner is 25!!! As for the service, the young man who took care of us is very respectful and smart for his young age of 12. As someone who works in the service industry he does a very well job. Please support them!!

Ordered takeout and overall had a good experience. The salmon sushi roll was excellent and packed with plenty of salmon. The Philly roll, however, didn’t have as much fish as I expected. The restaurant looked clean, and my order was ready in about 10 minutes, which was really convenient.

the food was lackluster, my server had to be like 8, AND my crab rangoons had hardly any filling in them. they also don’t offer the all you can eat menu you have to request it.

Food was okay, nothing special. They add a breading in just about everything. It got old real quick. Service was surprisingly fast. Its a made-to-order sushi, so if you go order a few rolls ahead of time. Worth a shot, probably not going back though.

Everything was pretty good except for the items that were fried. The volcano roll seems like it was fried in the middle somehow. Service was quick and accurate. I would go here again

12/30/24-this is the second time I’ve been here now and I just wanted to update the review. I think this might be my favorite place now as far as the quality of sushi.

Service was pretty good.

2 adults & four kids 8yo and under. I bought a soda for my 7yo, and my 1yo & 3yo shared a small fried rice. I was attempted to be charged for all four!! I probably would have ordered something small for the other ones however they didn’t offer a kid’s menu after lunch!

Finally talked to them into only charging me for two of the kids but as she was walking away she told me that I was supposed to tell her who was eating and who was not eating! (There was only one other table in this restaurant).

Maybe if her 8-year-old son (maybe 8yo) hadn’t delivered almost all of the plates to our table she would have been a little bit more aware of what was going on!

Also be careful because they’ll automatically charge “18% gratuity” for the total of the food (sub total) + taxes….and it’s still comes out to actually 22%!!

Once again I approached what seemed to be the owner’s wife and started pointing this out to her. Her more reasonable counterpart joined in on the conversation as I was pointing this out… He offered to take off $2… And while she’s stood there quietly whispering and smirking to her husband which was obviously nothing but snide comments as far as I’m concerned, I called them out on it.

Can you believe that she had the audacity to tell me that it was only $2 and that nobody else has ever said anything!!! So rationalizing theft! Not just potential theft to me but to literally EVERYBODY that never sat there at the end of their meal added things up to check that the percentages were correct….

After I got them to take away the gratuity entirely, I handed a $20 bill to the 8-year-old kid who did most of the service for the table. But simply out of principle, and once again I need to reiterate the fact that this was maybe the best sushi I’ve had in a long time… I generously tipped her as well… Maybe partially in spite. Because she would have still gotten a better tip than 18% if she hadn’t have tried to wrongfully cram it down our throat.

I know this is a long-winded review, this is just my personal experience. But it is obvious that anyone who has paid the bill without doing the math as been stolen from. I hope whoever is making the food back there doesn’t get any backlash from this because it was amazing.

Good luck, and in my experience is better to treat people like people even in times of need, as typically you get more generosity.

Maybe our food wasn’t good because we ordered through Grubhub – they delivered all the way to our hotel off 21st street.
The food was OK. You can’t go wrong with the California roll. The gyoza was good. The teriyaki beef sticks were also good.
The spicy trio of rolls, their most popular pick, was not good. Instead of mashed up fish, maybe try using whole pieces..
All in all, if you’re looking for special rolls, this may not be the place for you. If you are, try the more expensive options to get better quality.

My absolute favorite local place to get all-you-can-eat sushi. I have been a loyal customer for YEARS! I frequent Fuji Hana the majority of the time because of the generous roll portions, the big selection of various rolls, the freshness and quality, and above all my boyfriend and I really appreciate the team here! Every roll has such a unique taste. As far as kitchen appetizers, you have to try the sexy jalapeno (but make sure to share it because you will be full since it is fried). Generous cuts of sashimi and more options than any of the other all-you-can-eat locations. You can also get Poke Bowls!
Also, if you need a party tray of sushi for a gathering or event, theirs are an incredible value and they are very accommodating on turnaround time. Some reviews have mentioned slow/bad service-I have to disagree here because when they get very busy, people don’t realize the staff is greatly outnumbered-there are only a handful of people running the show at one time and they do their best to be as fast as possible.
Some rolls to try:
Pink Lady, Rainbow Roll, Spicy City, Falls River, Peanut Avocado or Monkey Roll (both great for dessert!).

Fantastic quality and service! Our party of four male adults ordered many servings, including tuna and sashimi/ hand rolls and an assortment of various traditional sushi rolls. Every order was prepared properly and was expedient.

By the way, all of the sashimi was grade A.

I recommend this restaurant orders a la carts or all you can eat.

The staff was very polite. Please tip the staff well, if you feel they have an exceptional experience, as we did.

Some photos of our orders are attached.

Kudos to the chef and server!
