We ordered the hamachi kama, which isn’t something I would normally get, but our server encouraged us to try it and took the time to explain it. I’m really glad we did. It was perfectly cooked, rich, and incredibly flavorful—easily one of the highlights of the meal and something I’d absolutely order again.
The miso soup was delicious, and all of our sushi rolls were fresh, well-balanced, and beautifully presented (photo included). You can tell real care and attention goes into the food.
Our server was outstanding—helpful, knowledgeable, and patient with all our questions, and they guided us toward choices we genuinely loved.
5 out of 5 stars. Highly recommend, and we will definitely be returning. If you’re in Boston and looking for fantastic sushi, Fuji at Ink Block will not disappointed.
The service was exceptional – attentive without being intrusive, and Ming clearly knew his stuff. Gave us the best recommendations. The ambiance was sophisticated and sexy.
I wasn’t expecting much from dessert at a sushi spot, but it completely exceeded my expectations and was the perfect ending to an amazing meal.
This is definitely my new go-to sushi place, and I’ll absolutely be coming back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for top-tier sushi and a great overall dining experience!
The food feels as fresh as it could be, every little details on the plate serves its purpose and melts in your palate. We tried a great combination of maki along with a few entrées, there were some drinks on a different menu, I don’t remember the names but they were delicious. Tried the new dessert, the cheesecake, it was the right combination of flavors, crunchy and not overwhelming sweet.
The highlight of my meal was definitely the Fuji Don. It came with a generous assortment of toppings, all of them fresh, flavorful, and beautifully balanced. Every bite offered something different, from delicate slices of fish to crisp vegetables, and the combination really worked perfectly together. What impressed me the most was the inclusion of uni, which added a luxurious touch and made the dish feel even more special.
Overall, Fuji at Ink Block delivers both quality and creativity. If you’re a sushi lover or just someone who appreciates fresh and carefully crafted Japanese cuisine, I’d highly recommend trying this place — and don’t miss out on the Fuji Don!
Starting off with a couple of appetizers, the Lobster Rangoon was spectacular. These little parcels were jam-packed with cream cheese and lobster. A great spin on your typical crab rangoon. We also wanted to try their Satay Chicken Lettuce Wraps. The chicken was very well marinated and incredibly tender. This would have been a great main entree.
For the main course, I wanted to try as many different types as possible of fish the restaurant offered so I opted in for their Fuji Don. This included tuna, tuna toro, salmon, seared salmon toro, sea urchin, eel, seared scallop, seared sweet shrimp, and micro greens over a bed of sushi rice and arugula. Each piece of fish was at its optimum quality. This was a phenomenal dish, and I was absolutely floored with the presentation.
For my final bite, I saw under their “The Finer Nigiri” there were several choices. I was told the Black Truffle Foie Gras was very popular, and my mind was made up. This came in one of the best presentations I’ve seen. It came encased under a glass dome with smoke. The server removed the dome, and the smoke slowly dissipated revealing the two pieces of nigiri underneath. Once again, my jaw was on the ground. At roughly $30 for these two pieces of sushi, they were stunning.
Overall, I had a great experience here at Fuji at Ink Block and would highly recommend it to any traveler or Bostonian. I can’t wait to return once I’m in the area again to try their other items.
