Everything was fantastic! Fresh food, top-notch service, and a nice atmosphere. The restaurant and restrooms were very clean. Very family friendly and they made sure to make all of the kids feel special! The new owners have done a fantastic job giving this restaurant new life!

***New owners*** and what a difference it makes. Before the new owners we were noticing portions getting smaller and the quality was not up to par. That definitely was not the case this time. We took two boxes of food home with us because the portions are so big!!! The food was fresh and cooked just right! The owner will not be a stranger, he is very kind and talkative. We will be back to try some more of the new dishes and old favorites on the menu.

New ownership has made a difference. Place feels clean and brighter than before. If you had been to this place previously, you’ll certainly notice a difference. Stopped in for lunch and were quickly seated. We were the only ones at the place first but the dining room was about 50% full by the time we left at 1PM on a Friday. Service was quick and attentive. Food was good as well. New owner came over to check on us a couple times. Seems like a good dude. 2 Hibachi lunches, 1 shrimp tempura roll and 2 drinks with taxes = $41. Not bad, especially considering there was enough to take home for another meal. We plan to go back more now that the ownership change has taken place. We hope they continue their positive momentum.

I wanted to like this place because it’s so close but honestly we didn’t have a great experience there. The food was ok, not memorable but not bad either. It was pretty simple sushi dishes so hard to get wrong, really. But the experience was bizarre. Two people at our table got their food like 20 minutes before the rest of the table, so they either had to just wait and let their food get cold or eat and basically be done by the time our sushi arrived. They didn’t seem that busy, I have no idea why it took so long. And the service was good but weird. Like we were trying to have conversation at our table because several people were meeting each other but the server would constantly interrupt with checking on us when it was obvious that we were just waiting for our food and he had stopped by like 3 minutes earlier. He seemed annoyed that we had 8 people there. He also made fun of the size of our family, calling us the Patridge family (we have 4 children), which I thought was funny but my wife was offended over. The owner, who seemed friendly, also interrupted constantly with stories about random stuff. We literally couldn’t have a conversation because of the constant interruptions about nothing. It created a super awkward evening where we were basically just eating, having like 2 minutes of conversation and just as something interesting was popping up either the server or manager would pop in with random interruptions. With the mediocre food, the long prep time, and the bizarre lack of tact with the staff I don’t think I’ll be going back.

I have eaten here several times before and was excited to see a new menu with new management . Unfortunately it did not hold up…. I ordered the chicken wings and they were undercooked. Luckily I noticed as I bit into the first one. I checked 2 others and they were also undercooked. They still had blood at the centers and could not have been temperature checked. I was unable to bring it to their attention; as no one came to follow up. We also had chicken fried rice and it was fine…nothing spectacular and the rice was slightly overcooked.

Since we moved to White House in 2026, the staff has been so friendly and welcoming! The owner said “I treat customers like family,” and it’s really shown through. High quality food. And, every time I go, there’s a steady stream of people, in and out!

Aren shouldn’t Have rights
Owned by a very kind couple, the food was very delicious and used very fresh veggies. You could see the kitchen from the dining area and appeared to be very clean and sanitary. You can tell that they are very experienced in the restaurant industry with the way they were friendly, attentive, and efficient by making time to talk with us and tend to our needs while also taking our orders and getting food out in a timely manner. The owner also shared with us that the rice and miso soup are cooked fresh everyday and never kept overnight. Was a very wonderful experience and my husband and I look forward to making this part of our regular rotation. And I look forward to eating my leftovers tomorrow because the portions are delightfully huge.

Just tried it tonight for the first time since the new management- OH MY GOSH! Total turnaround! The floors were SPOTLESS (not like my shoes stuck to the ground); booths brand new and clean. The sweetest new owner was my server, and he was HILARIOUS. All of my sushi came out perfect. I enjoyed Fuji’s before (just felt a little sketch.. lol) but now hope to enjoy it MORE often!

Update with new management! EVEN BETTER!!

I obviously don’t get wings at a place that doesn’t specialize in them. Just like I wouldn’t expect them to be amazing. Get what they’re good at. Ignore the ignorant bad reviews.

We had a great experience with both hibachi meals and sushi, drinks were cold, food was hot, and seemed very fresh. We were hesitant with the up and down reviews but I think some people reviewing this place are very picky. Please use your own judgement and give this local establishment a try on your own, I’m glad I found a sushi place I can pop in at real quick.

I highly Recommend the Fuji Mountain Roll!!!
