I generally love small ethnic family run hole in the wall eateries. Unfortunately, as much as I’d love to support local businesses, this one was a rip off. We paid $80 for two meals. The chicken and beef were sooooo over cooked and dry that it was impossible to eat. The rice was dry and undercooked. The spinach side was ok. The place looks very unsanitary. I wish they would make a change and actually charge for good food. $40 per person is what you pay at a sit down restaurant with a waiter for edible food.

Me and husband ordered egusi. Bad experience, extremely too oily! bad odor from food like it wasn’t fresh to order, plaintain weren’t ripe very hard and unsweetened. Pure waste of money.

I just ordered Egusi with no meat with a side order of extra meat !!! I received one piece of unchewable Tripe. (I am pissed)! The food is very oily. It’s my fault for not reading the prior reviews. I actually threw it all in the garbage! 27.00 this does include delivery and tip . When you have a taste for good food and it’s an epic fail !!!!!!! If I knew how to post photos I would.

Came here wanting to try African food (especially fufu) cause I’ve never had it before. I think this may be more west African cuisine. The server and even another customer were super friendly in helping us choose what to eat. We got to try some samples for free to pick the dishes we ended up buying.
I was able to get the egunsi soup combo ($21.99) split with the spinach, it also would’ve came with a meat but we decided to get the yam porridge cause we liked the sample. This came with a fufu. Fufu was super interesting as the texture was a bit slimy. I liked it though and tried it with everything and it tasted good with everything.
Also got the ayamashe ($22.99) which had beef and fish, also came with an egg. It was quite spicy. I got sweaty eating it. The plantains were so soft and sweet.
They even have a bar where you can have a cocktail which I thought was cool. The music playing was good as well.

This review is based on my husband: he stated that the prices don’t match the portions, and that the food lacked seasoning. The service was ok but they seemed to get frustrated when you asked questions regarding the menu.

Had their signature amala, and it wasn’t up to par. It was lumpy, but still edible. Liked the variety of dishes though, went with a large party that included kids, and everyone was able to order food they wanted. Service was okay, the servers were patient with taking the orders. Don’t know if the lumpy amala was a one-off or not.

Hands down the best African restaurant I have been to in. Everything is cooked to perfection and the fact every item is being displayed outside says a lot about the integrity of the restaurant. Meats and assorted meats available. Meats are well seasoned and also cooked too perfection, not soft and not hard just perfect. Customer service A+ the young man at the counter was really polite and nice. Clean environment beautiful place to bring your family and friends so they can try that fufu they have been hearing or seeing on TV and Movies. Lot of options to pick from, I will definitely be returning with my family cause I stumbled to this myself. Shoot I didn’t mention the price? Ok the price was great really great, you get good amount of food for the price.
I Recommend this place

Absolutely amazing service. The food was fresh, tasty, and beautifully presented. My guests couldn’t stop talking about the jollof rice and grilled chicken. Everything was delivered right on time and professionally handled. I’ll definitely book again for my next event

I went on Saturday to try their chicken egusi and fufu for the first time. It was bland (no seasoning) and the chicken didn’t seem cook enough and it was too much bone in it for it to be a soup if I’m being honest. My husband tried the beef suya and jollof rice. He ate it but the beef was tough and the rice was dry. The service was good though. The waiters weee friendly. I just wouldn’t go back.
