It’s hard to find good Mexican food in Jacksonville. I’ve lived in many places in my life time. But, we took a chance on this place and was pleasantly surprised. We enjoyed our food. My husband ordered the spicy taco. I ordered the birria tacos. Never had them before so I have nothing to compare it to. Yum. Great staff. Good food. Quant little place. Definitely coming back.

Perfect place for vegetarians!! The food was delicious and we couldn’t stop ourselves. We don’t eat meat and asked for a replacement of veggies. It was so well made and flavorful! Usually places give you beans and nothing else, so we were very happy! The combination of everything tastes well together. Happy and helpful staff! So glad we stopped here

Extremely disappointing! It took forever just to get our drinks, and almost 30 minutes to get our food. We were only checked on once. We waited at least 20 minutes just to get our check, and that doesn’t include the wait to actually pay. The food was ok at best. While the burrito del Mar was good and cooked well, our tacos arrived not even room temperature. The only saving grace was the waiter who was helping, and who we’re pretty sure wasn’t supposed to be our waiter. We could hear other people complaining as well. We’ll not go again.

We were greeted immediately when we walked in and seated immediately. The food came out fast and was hot and fresh. Our server was new but he did a great job. I had the Que Pasa Fajitas and my husband had the rice bowl with chicken. Excellent taste and great potions!!!

Ordered the California burrito with carne asada and the was no cheese on the burrito (see menu picture and just figured out why it didn’t taste good and was dry, they forgot the cheese… fail). It had no flavor. The service was slow too, but $9 domestic pitchers saved my experience. I did try my daughters kid’s chicken quesadilla and wife’s enchilada and they were both good because they had cheese.

It was great, first time visiting and had to try a little bit of everything but got pictures of a few things. The ceviche I’ll say was different, it’s not a typical one for sure. It’s almost like they blanch the shrimp and then mix everything together in a mango habenero syrup. It wasn’t bad but not what I was expecting. The birria tacos were also great between the texture of the beef and consomme but I did want it to have a little bit more chili flavor. All in all our server Carolina was to die for and we’ll definitely be back soon to try some more food.

Dessert was amazing! Our waitress was so nice and accomodating & my burrito was delish.. I personally did not like the chicken that was in the soft taco. It tasted like canned, shredded chicken with a hint of liquid smoke. Aside from that, I really enjoyed my first visit and I will return.

Fun experience from the decor, service, food, and two-for-one margaritas! I tried the combo with the enchilada and chile rellano. So good, great portion-lots of leftovers. My friends are regulars and I can see why. Didn’t get any food photos, here’s a few of the awesome artwork. I’ll be back to try the cucumber-jalapeño margarita!
