Showed up on a whim. Christian was our server. He took the time to answer all my questions and had a great personality! He told me about the tequila smoked old fashioned, and hands down, the best I’ve ever had!!! The smoke show at the table was a sweet treat. The food was epic, the service was epic, and the chef even came out so we could thank him for the amazing food! Our taste buds were dancing. The hard part was controlling yourself to stop eating because it was such perfection! I can’t wait to go back! Beautiful place! Oh and the best tequila menu I have ever seen! We had the tuna tar tar and queso fundido skillet. Oh my lanta, can’t wait to take more friends there!

Food:
The food was very good overall, and we appreciated the complimentary chips and salsa to start. We ordered several dishes to share. The queso was ok, not memorable. The grilled octopus had a nice char flavor; the heirloom tomatoes and potatoes were excellent, especially the purple potatoes. The Mexican garlic noodles with grilled chicken was very creamy/wet and not dry at all. The carne asada tacos were flavorful—although I forgot to request no cheese, the avocado and pickled elements were very fresh and complemented the dish well.

Service:
Dylan was our waiter and checked on us multiple times throughout the meal. While he was less present toward the end, we are still giving him five stars for service. The blonde food runner was also polite and he delivered our dishes with a smile

Atmosphere:
We are giving four stars for atmosphere due to the rather loud music. We were seated in the back section of the restaurant with tables and booths. A lower music volume would have made the dining experience more enjoyable.

Fuego Comida & Tequila Lounge is a great little spot if you’re looking for bold flavor without the fuss.

It’s small and intimate, with sidewalk seating that gives it a relaxed, modern vibe. Don’t let the size fool you—the food brings serious flavor. The menu is tight but well thought out, and everything feels intentional rather than overdone. You can tell they care about quality and execution.

The drinks are a standout. Well-crafted cocktails, especially if you like tequila, and everything comes out balanced and fresh—not sugary or rushed. It’s an easy place to linger, talk, and enjoy the atmosphere without feeling crowded.

Overall, it’s a solid choice for a casual night out, date night, or meeting friends for drinks and good food. Unique, flavorful, and laid-back—Fuego punches above its weight.

Fuego is such a great spot in Lakewood Ranch if you love bold flavors and beautifully presented dishes.
They bring a fresh, modern take on Latin cuisine that really shows in both the ingredients and the plating.
The beef empanadas were a great start, crisp on the outside with a well-seasoned filling and balanced by bright toppings.
The octopus was another highlight, tender with a good char, paired with smashed potatoes, peppers, cherry tomatoes, and pepita seeds.
And you truly can’t leave without getting the churro board!!
The churros are crisp on the outside, soft in the center, and the four dipping sides make it fun to share.

One of the best restaurants in Lakewood Ranch! This is not your typical Mexican restaurant. It’s an elevated place and they serve fantastic food, like my favorite, the Waygu fajita. It’s a bit on the pricey side but worth it. My other favorite is the Barbacoa taco. And Fuego has probably the best daily happy hour specials in LWR. Tons of $8 bites and nearly half off drinks.

We came here after our friend saw an Instagram post about the dead of the dead party. 10/10 would come back for this party on November 1st. The food is so yummy I would come back anytime to eat. The staff knows what’s up with the menu. The bathroom were very clean. I totally think this place is worth the price. You should eat here.

Abigail took great care of us. We enjoyed our visit. The Short Rib was excellent and so were the Taco’s. We’ve been here many times. Always very good. The food is top-notch. Easily one of the best restaurants in the area. Great selection of cocktails. The House Marg’s were tasty too.

If I could give Fuego 10 stars I would!! We had the pleasure of dining there for the first time last night and we can’t wait to come back!! We were lucky to have Abigail as our server and her knowledge of the menu and recommendations were spot on. We started with the margarita flight- incredible. The flight consisted of Strawberry Fields which is delightfully and whimsically presented, along with Day of the Dead (with Cabernet floater that absolutely MAKES the cocktail, and something like “clear” margarita which is unlike anything I’ve ever had anywhere- a 48 hour clarified margarita. It’s unbelievably smooth and will go down as one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had.
Now on to the food! We started with guacamole that is served creatively with plantain chips. Abigail recommended the garlic noodles with Dungeness crab. This dish is beyond words delicious and a very generous portion! Highly recommend this dish- the flavor is incredible! My boyfriend got the Sea Bass entree which was also 10 stars- delicate, tender, and expertly prepared.
It’s super rare that a restaurant nails every aspect of a dining experience but this one certainly did. I hope they don’t change a thing because what they have is a superstar!! Lakewood Ranch is so lucky to have a place like this!! I can only hope they come to Nashville next!!

So beautiful in this place, and delicious food and drinks. We were seated quickly without a reservation (2 people). Our server Roberto was an angel and made my mom’s birthday so fun, he was attentive and kind despite it being so busy. The tacos were filled to the brim with meat, birria empanadas were so juicy and flavorful. Margarita flight was a wonderful blend of flavors, I was pleasantly surprised by the clarified one it was super smooth. My mom is very picky about spicy margs and she was also very happy! We will definitely be back.

City style cocktails & food in Lakewood Ranch?!! YESSS!! @fuegotequilalounge is a new TOP SPOT! Seabass pastor tacos, yes, those are giant chunks of Seabass! Crispy Pork belly tacos, cooked to perfection, and 100% do the birria empanadas! And the cocktails & tequila bar…A-mazing! Ask for Roberto, he’s our guy! Chef prides himself on his authentic hand-picked ingredients, delicious craft cocktails, and yes the food is as good as it looks! Do it! Like, SO GOOD! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
