GREAT Mexican food restaurant! Traveling to Live Oak for work and what a treat after a long shift. Restaurant is well decorated and very clean. Staff are super friendly. Fuego Azteca Mexican Bar and Grill is a hidden gem and one of those places that immediately makes you feel comfortable the moment you arrive. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with country music playing outside and a friendly, easygoing crowd that gives the place a true hometown feel rather than a touristy vibe.
The outside bar area is especially well done. It’s well stocked, comfortable, and a great spot to enjoy a cold drink while catching up with friends or just soaking in the evening. Whether you’re stopping in for lunch or easing into a longer night out, it’s a space that invites you to slow down and enjoy yourself.
Our bartender, Bri, was fantastic — friendly, fast, and clearly knows her craft. The margaritas were absolutely perfect, balanced and refreshing without being overly sweet, which is harder to find than it should be. Service overall felt genuine and attentive without ever being rushed.
The food easily matched the quality of the drinks. The fresh-made guacamole was incredible — easily one of the best we’ve ever had. You can taste the freshness and quality in every bite, and the rest of the food was just as impressive, arriving hot, well prepared, and full of flavor.
If you’re looking for great food, excellent drinks, and a laid-back spot with a true local feel, Fuego Azteca is absolutely worth a visit. It’s the kind of place you’re happy to come back to again and again, and one we happily recommend.

Spent a few days in Live Oaks, the first night had dinner at Fuego Azteca. Ordered a Steak Torta and Steak Tacos. The torta was big, the bread was soft and definitely fresh…..steak was seasoned very well, this was a very tasty sandwich!!! The Tacos were served with salsa verde that was slightly spicy and complemented the tacos seasoning, on some fresh corn tortillas that were very soft!!! We ordered from the bar Margaritas and a couple of Woodford Old Fashioned, all the drinks were very good!!! Awesome experience at Fuego Azteca!!!

12/15/25 Upon walking in the restaurant it was beautifully decorated. Ivette was an Excellent waitress Above and Beyond Customer Service I ordered the steak & shrimp fajitas and my friend ordered the chimichangas. The food was delicious. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Food was alright. I ordered the combination with champagne, tostada and taco. The meat was very liquidy which made all 3 of my items soggy before 1st bite. I requested new champagne and taco shells and just strained the liquid off and transferred meat and toppings to new shell. Atmosphere was nice and the wait staff was all friendly.

First Time coming Here Because Me and Hubby Always go to Salas or Fiesta in LC! Or Rancho Grande in Madville! But now if we don’t wanna Drive to LC or Madville it’s Gonna be Here! Our waitress Melanie was a Sweetheart! And I Love Their Salsa And Their House Margaritas And the Food was Delicious! My Hubby got Chicken Quesdillas and I Got the Chicken Tacos Definitely will Be Coming Back!

Bree is incredible and she is my go-to server/ bartender whenever I visit, but all the workers are amazing. The food is always hot and fresh and the service is honestly unbeatable. Best place to eat in Live Oak, hands down!
