What an awesome new place! We stopped here for dinner tonight, and thoroughly enjoyed it! It has a great upscale atmosphere with extremely friendly employees….and the food is amazing! Their menu is HUGE, with plenty of variety to choose from…including a whole page of authentic Mexican dishes along with a nice explanation of where each item originated from. Fresh chips and salsa were nice…and their complimentary Creamy Jalapeno dip is to die for. My husband had the Primos Rice with Grilled Steak, Chicken, Shrimp and veggies over Mexican rice with cheese sauce, and he loved it. I tried the Tacos Gobernador…Shrimp tacos with grilled onions and smoky chipotle, fresh avocado and a side of house made slaw , corn and black bean pico, and Mexican rice. The portions were very generous…we had plenty of leftovers to take home. Our server, Keydenn was awesome…..and the manager/owner stopped by our table to chat as well. Definitely adding this place to our list of favorites. They are located right off of University Drive, so they are very convenient as well!

We were very impressed with this authentic Mexican restaurant after it seemingly popped out of nowhere on HWY 72. Stopped in for a late lunch, and were blown away at the quality of food, atmosphere inside, and the attentive service. Prices were reasonable as well – especially the $6 margarita which was easily a highlight of the meal. The menu has a good mix of the sort of Tex-Mex style most folks might want, but also very authentic dishes from various across Mexico.
Don’t let the giant fancy lights, signs, and exterior next door fool you – this is the superior Mexican food experience.

We had an amazing experience at Fuego Mexican Restaurant! The roasted corn queso dip was the perfect start-creamy, flavorful, and totally addictive. For our main meals, the quesabirria tacos and Pastor Loco quesadilla were both incredible-packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. We ended with the Mexican crème brûlée, which was a sweet, silky finish to a perfect meal. Every dish was delicious, beautifully presented, and full of authentic flavor. The service was friendly and attentive too. We’ll definitely be back soon!

This place is in a good location, well lit, and easy parking. The hostess greeted us as soon as we walked in and we were seated within seconds. The food was good and the portion was acceptable for the price. The only reason I’m giving a 4 star is because the service was pretty slow. We ordered our drinks first and didn’t receive them until we already had our entrees and also our waitress was nice but not as attentive as she should have been. They weren’t that busy so I assume they didn’t staff it correctly for this particular night but overall I did enjoy my visit and will be returning.

I loved the space anf the variety of drinks as well as the pricing but unfortunately the food had zero flavor. I was high l disappointed. The brought out a white sauce with the chips and salsa , one would think it was similar to Chuy’s jalapeño ranch dip but is was not, no flavor, no spice and slightly chunky.
If you go, just go for the drinks, service and ambience.

Fuego was nice! I didn’t really care for my entrée — I ordered the seafood enchilada, so maybe I just picked the wrong dish. However, the appetizer with the white and red dips was really enjoyable. My date rated his burrito a 7 out of 10, and I’d give my meal a 6 out of 10. I was very satisfied with the timeliness of the meal and enjoyed the conversation with our waitress. Overall, it was a nice environment with friendly service.

My husband and I decided to give this restaurant a try today, and I’m already looking forward to coming back. They were having a soft opening week so they didn’t have their entire menu available, but they did have the lunch and brunch menu available. They started off by giving us chips and salsa with a jalapeño ranch dip. I’m a fan of jalapeño ranch so I was excited to get that. My husband got a horchata and he said it was pretty tasty. I tried the Pink Guava and that wasn’t bad. If you’re looking for a tart/not sweet drink then that’s the drink for you if you like guava and grapefruit. My husband ordered the Steak Taco de Carne Asada. He said it was tender and very flavorful. I had the Esmeralda Seafood Enchilada Plate and that was delicious. The sauce was delicious and paired so well with the enchiladas. We also substituted our refried beans for charro beans. The charro beans were creamy and had a good flavor as well. The restaurant seemed very cleaned. When you first walk in, you walk over these ponds at the entrance. I thought that was a neat feature in the restaurant. There was a bar area with TVs and tables that looked like a good place for Happy Hour. We sat in the dining area section. The chairs were nice and comfortable and the restaurant itself felt very spacious. The walls were decorated with large canvas paintings and each canvas had a QR code underneath it. I didn’t use the QR code, but I would think the QR code would take you to a description of the paintings. The bathrooms were clean and the stalls had a nice vinyl wrap on them to make the restrooms more presentable. The staff were nice and our server even gave us some recommendations to go off of. The entrees off the brunch/lunch menu were in the $10-$20 price range and my cocktail was $12. Very Comparable to other restaurants. Overall the restaurant was welcoming and the food was good. I’m looking forward to coming back to try some of the other food options, maybe some of the more authentic food options.

We visited today for an early supper. They weren’t busy. We were met with a friendly staff. I’m horrible with names. Our waitress was really nice, she told us about the menu. We orders a few beers and looked over the menu. We ordered from the authentic portion. My wife got the Mole Poblano, I ordered the Quesabirria. I made a statement about the mole. I said we aren’t in Texas anymore. Our waitress mentioned that to the owner. He, Enrique came out to the table and introduced himself. He told us he from the area where mole originated. He was very nice. Our food was fantastic. We tried each other’s meals. My birria was some or the best I’ve had in a while. My wife’s mole was excellent and the chicken was tender. The creamy jalapeno dip was very good. I definitely recommend Fuego. I know we’ll be back.

I was excited about trying this new Mexican restaurant…my husband, daughter and I went in Friday December 26, 2026 around 1:15 pm, there were hardly any customers that kinda made my antenna go up as al the surrounding restaurants were packed but we went in any way. We were seated in the bar area, the bartender server, came, we got a Margarita, ordered the roasted corn queso dip(corn is not roasted) it was okay, asked for spicy salsa as well. We received regular salsa and jalapeño salsa, chips were good salsa good. We asked about the fajitas, I’m very picky about fajitas and she said it was New York strip…I requested ribeye, because she said you could, I said med rare and she said it would be well done…I said oh no, if they can not cook it med rare, I’ll get the Birra….my daughter ordered their Pollo & rice, husband hard shell taco & beed enchilada, I orderedshrimp& steak fajitas….my steak came out med well, the server knew right off, she took it back…I should have just said, I’ll just do the shrimp…about 20 minutes later brought the next steak, it was cooked to the desired temperature but barely warm…my husband said the ground beef in his enchilada and taco was super salty, he left half his enchilada, my daughter said her pollo rice was meh…out bill was near $100.00 without the tip…we did leave a tip, the server was very nice and accommodating…the salsa’s were excellent! But other than that, it’s a one and done for us all….
