I’d like this message to reach the owner, but there is no other way to send in a message to him. Sometimes writing it out is better.
My family and I have patronized Fu Shing for the last 4 years getting roughly the same items from the menu pretty consistently.
Singapore Mei Fun is my menu item I want to talk about. They’ve always customized it for me and my 3yr old son without issue. Just ordered here for the first time in 2026 since December 2025.
After arriving home and excited to dig in, the Singapore Mei Fun was not as it has normally tasted in the past. The flavor was drastically different for the worse. Bland flavor, almost tasted like soap. There was an after taste that would not go away until I ate something else to cleanse my palette.
I called in to ask for replacement and I gladly took it back and talked with the Owner about what’s wrong. (Bland flavor, almost tasted like soap. There was an after taste that would not go away until I ate something else to cleanse my palette.)
The owner made a replacement and brought it out for me to check before leaving. It tasted mostly better, but until I got home to take a more substantial bite, sadly it was the same.
I do appreciate your time in redoing the order, but as you mentioned the curry from your supplier can be different from time to time. I understand completely how this can happen; I’ve lived the family restaurant lifestyle since I’m 10 years old.
Unfortunately, your curry might be a bad batch this time because the flavor is not how this curry dish tasted in the past. I might suggest making the order and quality control sample the taste of this dish for yourself.
We would visit maybe once or twice a month as our order out budget is limited. Unfortunately we’re going to have to pass on visiting your establishment for a while moving forward as money is too tight this day and age to throw food away.

Service and food were awesome. Wait time was minimal. Chicken Broccoli and SaCha Chicken entrees were delicious. Large and significant leftovers for a second meal. Hot and sour soup was very flavorable and spicy. We will definitely be back! Dine in is okay but take out is recommended.

I’ve been a regular customer at this place for about two years, consistently supporting this business. Over that entire time, I’ve only had three negative experiences, which I think is pretty reasonable for any restaurant. Unfortunately, the way the owner handled the most recent situation completely changed how I feel about this place.
The first issue was an egg foo young that was overcooked and burnt. I mentioned it, no drama.
The second time, I asked about a dish I saw online and was given something totally different. They remade it, but the owner was not pleasant about correcting the mistake, and the replacement dish honestly wasn’t good at all.
Yesterday was the final straw. I ordered the hot and sour soup, which was good, so I went back and ordered the chicken noodle soup. What I received was basically mein noodles with barely any chicken and a completely bland, flavorless broth. It was not good at all.
I called back politely to ask if I could replace it with hot and sour soup, explaining that it was bland. The owner immediately became defensive and told me that I “complain all the time,” that “everyone loves his soup,” and that he didn’t want my business anymore.
That was honestly shocking. I’ve been a loyal customer for two years and rarely ever complained. I wasn’t rude, I wasn’t demanding, and I didn’t think asking to swap a soup would be a big deal especially as a regular. To make matters worse, another customer came in while I was there and said their food wasn’t up to par either, so clearly I wasn’t the only one dissatisfied.
Yes, I could have just paid and moved on, but the soup was genuinely disgusting, and the reaction from the owner was completely unprofessional.
Feedback and corrections are a normal part of the restaurant business. Being dismissed, accused, and basically told to go elsewhere after years of support is disappointing and unacceptable.
Sadly, I won’t be returning not because of one bad dish, but because of how poorly the situation was handled.

Don’t be afraid to explore the menu. I had sautéed broccoli in garlic sauce it was very good. In fact, my family and friends ordered the same 3 days in a row…all were very pleased.

Love this place. Food tasted fresh and well-made even when I was late to pick it up and drove all the way home. Sweet and sour chicken, onion fried rice, and egg roll were all phenomenal. Staff were very friendly and I’ll definitely be returning!

Ordered Curry vegetable dish and family members had intense gastro issues. To be fair, I didn’t experience any discomfort from the dish I ordered . (Mei fung noodles with tofu) I should have walked out when I saw 94 health score. Won’t be back

I have lived in concord for 10 years and best chinese i can find is mediocre if i would have known just drive 20 minutes here …the egg rolls were the best i have had since new york ..the brown sauce with broccoli fresh flavorful amazing and the onion fried rice everything fresh flavorful and amazing this place is amazing!!!

This place used to have the BEST dumplings I’ve ever had. They changed their dumplings and now they are not good at all!
Such a huge disappointment! We used to eat here regularly…just for the dumplings! We drove 45 minutes to get them!

Ordered Sesame Chicken and Orange Chicken…there was more rice than anything, if I wanted just rice I would have ordered just rice…..very little chicken and very few sesames…no juice at all, very, very dry. Pretty much no flavor to speak of….order white rice! The pork fired rice is horrible…and who put Orange peels in their food?? I spent half my time biting in Orange peels that were like rubber, bitter and don’t belong in food, you use Orange flavors….you don’t eat Orange peels!! This was my second time there…won’t be back.

Disappointed and waisted my money! All the food went in the trash! My family and I eat here all the time. The food is usually fresh and hot. We ordered chicken wings with veg. fried rice. Chicken wings were cold dried out like it was sitting under heat. Also ordered wonton soup (cold). Two mixed veg lunches with steamed rice. Some of the vegetables were stiff(old) and the sauce was not even wet it was pasty (old). Three spring rolls were stale. I called back up there and he said he’ll replace the three chicken wings on my next visit. There will be no next visit. It definitely was a big off day for them! Not sure if it was because it’s lunch or what. It almost seemed as if the food was a day old. We usually do dinner here. I’m completely turned off at this point and a loss of food / money!
