Fu Ming on Manton Ave is a must-visit!

The atmosphere is incredibly relaxing and comfortable, all thanks to Karen’s beautiful decorating. The food is phenomenal—I’ve never had a bad dish. Their salt and pepper chicken wings are a personal favorite; they’re perfectly salty with just the right amount of heat from fresh peppers and crispy garlic. The salt and pepper shrimp and salt and pepper fries are equally amazing.

Al, the bartender, is a true artist. His martinis are the best around, especially the unique Asian pear and mango habanero with a tahini rim. The white chocolate raspberry is also a masterpiece. You can’t go wrong with any of his cocktails, including classics like the Mai Tais and Scorpion bowls. And his green tea shots are literally the best!

Al and Karen are genuinely kind people who care deeply about their restaurant. The combination plates are also a great value. I highly recommend Fu Ming for anyone looking for great food, incredible drinks, and a wonderful experience.

I am a connoisseur of Chinese-American food and a lifelong Rhode Islander. Fu Ming stands out in a very special way. I’ve only dined-in, and I swear I spiritually ascend to a higher level of existence here.

Food – Obviously the most important thing. The food is incredible. I always get their generous pupu platter, but when I have room for more, the egg foo young is delicious and the fried rice always hits. It’s the very best versions of Chinese-American classics made fresh.

Atmosphere – Just as good as the food. Old school early 2000s vibe – comfy booths, fun patterned carpet, assorted plants, paper lanterns, Chinese zodiac placemats. The real highlight is the music, strictly 2000s R&B jams, and it fits the vibe perfectly.

Drinks – I feel like I’m legally obligated to get a scorpion bowl every time I go, but I’ve had other cocktails too. They are sweet, delicious, and appropriate in strength. I would come here for just cocktails at the bar if the food weren’t so irresistible.

Service – Impeccable. You don’t have to wait long for a table or your food. The servers are attentive but let you take your time if you wish and don’t rush you. Waters never empty, happy to give extra sauces/napkins/etc, and check in at perfect intervals.

I just love Fu Ming in Johnston. I’ve recommended (proselytized?) them to so many people and will continue to do so. They’re a beacon of the community and I hope they’re here for many years to come.

Fu Ming continues to impress. The dishes are flavorful, balanced, and always arrive hot and fresh. The drinks deserve a shoutout too — crisp, refreshing, and clearly made with care. The quality here rivals restaurants far more expensive. A true gem in the area. 5 stars!

The beef teriyaki was good but smaller pieces than what I usually get from other Chinese restaurants. The fried rice, crab rangoons, boneless ribs and egg rolls were bland.
As for the restaurant itself it was very clean well lit and nicely decorated. Service was okay.
This is our second visit with the same results.

Best in and around North Providence, hands down! I’ve tried all the comp. Smh, non of them even come close. CONSISTENTLY really good. It always looks so nice in there too Mamma fu ming puts alot of effort into making it so nice in there year round and so pretty for the holidays as well. Beef teriyaki, spare ribbies (so gd), the goons… Kung pow Chix is one of my go toos!

Decided to try Fu Ming after my sister posted on her FB page about the restaurant. I am glad we did. We were sat right away and ordered a Scorpion Bowl for two. (You only need one) We each had a bowl of Chicken Rice Soup, which was delicious. For dinner, my wife had Lo Mein with Pork fried rice and crab Rangoon. She loved the lo mein but the Rangoon was a little lacking, (not sweet enough) I ordered the 11s combo, Beef teriyaki, boneless ribs, sweet and sour chicken with fried rice. I enjoyed it all but the sauce was a little plain. All in all it was a great experience and I would for sure recommend eating here.

I love that they have dark rice here. The portions were generous and delicious. Our server was great as well. Definitely will be returning soon. The dining room was quite large with window booths available and so clean. I even tried to find dust and didn’t.

Delicious combination platters like shrimp w/lobster sauce, pork fried rice & boneless spare ribs. Family-owned. They are wonderful & hard working. They have a great green tea shot as well.

I ordered “Sweet and sour
“ chicken combo plate. I got these really greasy nugget things. Little nugget thing is swimming in oil and dough. Unacceptable. The egg roll is all celery. Never ordering again.
