A Great British Tradition…..For My Family, Fish & Chips began back in the 1930’s. It was Great Aunt Eliza who came to Sheffield and opened our family’s first Fish & Chip shop, using a combination of Lincolnshire potatoes, Icelandic Cod and Beef Dripping together with a Special recipe batter which has been passed down through the family generation to generation. The food was hearty and cooked to perfection. It’s a proper, no-nonsense meal. The chips were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, while the batter on the fish had that perfect crunch you always hope for. Both the gravy and curry sauce were rich and full of flavour.
The customer service was excellent — the girl serving us was friendly, attentive, and made us feel really welcome. The seating was also very comfortable, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
Overall, it’s a comforting plate of British food that hits the mark perfectly. We will definitely be coming again.

Lovely food. My dad got the fish, chips and peas and I got a fishcake with chips and gravy. Honestly the nicest gravy I’ve ever had from a chippy. And the batter on both the fish and the fishcake was perfectly done, so nice and crispy. Staff were lovely and polite, made the place feel very welcoming despite them being busy. And thee price was amazing too, very cheap.

This is the best chippy haddock I’ve ever had. Really, really nice. The portion on their website doesn’t do it justice, they are massive! Crispy batter, cooked all the way through, tasty, proper nice chips, lovely. The place is clean, modern and homely. I also saw a member of staff meticulously cleaning down a high chair, the fabric straps, everything. I don’t doubt their cleanliness.
Also, the young girl that served us was so smiley and friendly, nothing too much trouble.
I’d definitely go here again. Well worth the (cheap) money.

Top quality fish and chips for a very reasonable price. The restaurant was very busy on a weekday lunchtime but they still squeezed us in! Some of the best fish and chips in Sheffield for the lowest price I’ve seen for a while!

Frymaster the absolute best for fish and chips . We always go into the cafe to eat . Really clean and speedy service . Ellie works in the cafe and she is so friendly and efficient really lovely girl . Also staff are so friendly making time to acknowledge. When entering and leaving . Definitely recommend

We went on wed 11 feb 2027 went as opened with in seconds of sitting down our order was taken and with in 5 mins our drinks and food arrived at our table served with a smile and a friendly word the food was hot and super fresh we had the cod meal one with mush peas and one with gravy and it was so yummy my mum could not eat all of it and was asked if we wanted a box to take left overs home which we didn’t accept because we were super full the price is great the service is 5* and the same for the food
