I dont know if it was just my expectation or what but I want to like this place more but I cant. First, sandwitch was served on toast. Which means as you eat it, it get mushy. Probably needs to be on a bun. Service was ok but can tell the place is struggling. Fries were hot and crispy but zero seasoning. Some seasoning will go a long way. In the end, its just an ok place. 2.25 out of 5 stars. There would need to be some changes for me to go back

This is the BEST fried chicken I have ever had in my entire life. We were welcomed to come in from a SUPER friendly cook and the staff were so kind. But the star of the show is the fried chicken and the chicken tenders. Holy cow. This is unreal. I cannot believe how moist the chicken was and how crispy and delicious the breading was on both the chicken itself and the tenders. You HAVE to try this place.

This chicken is crispy but flavorless. No seasoning. Imagine clogging your arteries for no reason at all besides a crunch.
As an African American, and yes Im proud and have no shame, I love fried chicken same way Mexicans love tacos and Asians love ramen, it does not get the pass. Sorry not sorry

Came back here after a few years of being moved over on the other side of town–well worth the trip. The chicken was hot, crispy and juicy, and the sauces were incredibly flavorful. Definitely won’t be as long until the next visit.

The service was phenomenal, I genuinely don’t think it could have gotten better. Abdullah is very kind and welcoming to his customers and made sure we had a good time eating at Fryd Bird. We got to try all the sauces and got drinks as well thanks to him, made sure to tip extra as well :).

Update- went there today 12/18/25 and it was terrible. The only side available was fries, no coleslaw, no Mac and cheese. The chicken was fried in old tired oil! It was so sad. The only good thing was the person working there. She was a delight. Oh, they were also running out on dips.

I had high expectations when trying this place based upon the reviews. I think there needs to be a chart because there is no way this place is more than a 1 star. It was very filthy and smells of old mop water. My feet stuck to the floor and you can barely see out of the windows. Stay Away!

The chicken was OKAY. The frying oil must have been a little old. It kinda had a burnt flavor to it. The waffle fries were super oily. The coleslaw was a 5. The mashed potatoes were a 3.5 , it was salty. The customer service was a 4.
