It’s definitely more of a take-out place than an eat-in restaurant. Unfortunately, the quality of the food and attention to detail has been going steadily downhill. The eggrolls, although tasty, have gotten so thin that they seem almost ready to battle the size of spring rolls. The fried rice that promised to accompany combinations is really just yellow rice; we counted a total of three peas in two sides. The sweet and sour chicken was a regular go-to here, but tonight it came without the sweet and sour sauce, so that it was just deep-fried chicken nuggets and yellow rice. On the bright side, the wonton soup is consistently good.

Love this place, addicting.
Moved down to 3 stars. Not sure what happened…the last couple of times I’ve gone the food quality has gone down. = They also don’t listen when ordering. Asked for the soup to be wonton with the lunch special, so they give me egg drop soup and charge me additional for a wonton soup. On another occasion I asked for no mushrooms in my szechuan chicken and no pork in the fried rice and got both. Disappointing. 🙁

Being a visitor to Riverhead, I am one who doesn’t generally eat at chain establishments. I felt like having a Chinese dinner and Google Maps showed me Fry Pan with a 4.1 rating.
I will definitely echo that rating. I ordered a hunan chicken combination plate (entree, fried rice and egg roll) and steamed pork dumplings. The egg roll never made it to the hotel, as I was hungry and aroma of the food overcame me. Definitely, I was off to a great start, as the egg roll was crunchy and tasty. Back at my room, I dug into the dumplings. They were not the typical wrap with a small tight meatball inside, but 8 pillows with seasoned minced pork contained within. The hunan chicken was nicely seasoned, but I like mine with a bit more sauce which was missing. All in all, Riverhead, I believe, has a great choice for Chinese. Fei Chang Hao. Very good.

Rarely eat here. But yes, it’s worth it… if you don’t wanna eat pork please be specific. Yesterday I asked for chicken wings and fried rice but they made it pork fried rice as a nice gesture… unfortunately I didn’t want pork so I didn’t eat it. Next time I ordered I was specific and they got my order right.

I did a take out order. Usually get the pork chop lunch special. It’s good, you get a little soup and for a extra buck, you can get a can of soda, all for 10 bucks.

Not many boba tea places on Longisland especially out east. I am happy with Frypan’s boba tea! Delicious definitely recommend Got one for myself and my two sisters. We all loved our teas!

They do some things well. Soup is not one of them. Wontons are all dough. As for the egg drop soup, egg drops should be in broth, not gelatinous snot.
