After just returning from New York, I needed some good food. To date, (2025) the best french dip and cheeseburger I ever enjoyed in all of Alaska. I know thats a bold statement but its all I can say. Ken, from Kens Alaskan Tackle recommended the cheeseburger and regarded it as the best in town, absolutely true!
From walk in the door, sit down, and order in, order delivered, service was excellent, fast, food arrived hot, fresh hot fries. And what a beautiful setting, very nice dining area.

It is always a pleasure to see Froso taking care of the restaurant and customers. When a restaurant thrives for decades in this community they are doing things right and delivering consistent great food and service.

I’ll give 2 stars because the service is good. But the food is not. The soups taste like cheap canned stuff, burger was obviously a frozen patty then over cooked. We have tried this restaurant a few times and just keep getting let down. We give up. They are located in a small town with no competition, so they can get away with it I guess. A former employee told me this place was good before the owners split and the one that knew what they were doing left.

Don’t waste your time!
Not even one star worthy.

Super old decor, old music, I should of guessed by how many people were here barely any

We got a SMALL “chips and dip” for a appetizer. It’s tortilla chips with a ton of cheese melted on top with guacamole in the center. Terrible! Super greasy!

I got the Malibu burger (grilled chicken, ham and swiss) the bun was over toasted, chicken was seasoned horribly! I ate a quarter of it. The fries were fine.

My other half got taco salad. He said the meat did not taste like taco meat. The rice was overcooked. The beans were ok.

This place needs some serious help! Or just close the doors!

We ate here as a bus group of 30 on our way to join a cruise ship in Seward & I honestly can say that this place knocked it out of the park in all areas. From the arrival & organization to accommodate the group with orders & food delivery & bill accuracy, the food was also amazing. Especially in today’s times of low levels of service industry employees, this restaurant truly delivered in every aspect. The menu was so big I wanted to go back many more times to try more things! So glad that Premier travel Alaska/celebrity cruise lines chose this restaurant for us to eat.

Always a good hometown restaurant with many options to choose from. We’ve been here many times and brought the kids with us many times as well.

We had Jesse as our server today, and he was probably be best server I’ve had in quite a while. He didn’t interrupt us one time when we were talking (a common thing that many servers do, I’ve noticed.), he kept our drinks full and made sure we always had everything we needed.

While I am not a huge fan of Feta cheese, the Calzone was gigantic and took two days to eat. It’s been years since I enjoyed their food, and it’s still fantastic. Please, someone from Management update the menu pictures online, though. Thanks. We will order again next month when we are down. Much love.

P.S. I even shared it on X with the Doge Designer account, which has 1.7 million followers. So, hopefully, that makes up for only giving the driver a 10% tip.

This place accommodated a large group quite efficiently.

However, $18 for a BLT is quite too much. I figured it would be the best BLT in the world. The tomatoes were fresh and the bacon was cooked well. It needed more bacon though.

The lemon chicken soup was ok. It was very tasty—and gluten free is always a plus. Dairy free as well! But, it was mostly rice and liquid. There was next to no chicken. Could have used some carrots or some veggies to highlight i
The flavors better.

Enjoyable solo lunch here. I had mozzarella sticks and ravioli spaghetti. I was attended to consistently. Good place. Expect high-ish prices.
