I got the shrimp & grits. Asked for cheesy grits. It took quite awhile because they made fresh grits for me. One of the best! Homemade pie crust?! Flaky & delish. My friend got the spicy chicken sandwich but expected more heat. Saving my homemade chocolate chip cookie for later

The pies though are out of this world!!!!!!! We’ve tried a couple different ones and all I have to say is that they are all good!!!!!
We’ve tried their breakfast and lunch and a lot of different offerings. Haven’t found anything not good.
Love that this has been ran by the same family for so long.

8/14 Food is plentiful and just like mom or grandma cooked it for you!!! Laura was our server. Kept our drinks filled. Great service.
08/15 Went back for breakfast. What?? $6 for two eggs, toast and taters?? Best deal in Dunnellon. I paid .99 extra for cheese. Lele was my server. Kept my coffee hot! Great service. Rye toast, thick!

Absolutely love this little Dunnellon restaurant. The Front Porch is quaint, locally owned and welcoming. The food and pies absolutely delicious. We had the Southern Style Pot Roast, with field peas, fries and a slice of Cuban bread. Omg, this pot roast is one of the best I’ve had. The meat so tender and full of flavor, and enhanced beautifully with the vegetables and gravy. Great portions too. We also had the peach pie, and again it was delicious. Not filled with a purified sugary jelly or soggy fruit. This pie was packed with real chunky slices of sweet juicy peaches in a delicious short crust pastry. We came home with the whole pie. It was mouthwatering good. This is now one of our favorite places, and we can’t wait to try more of their pie varieties. The Strawberry & Rhubarb pie is next on our list. Our server was awesome and he was so helpful and friendly. Highly Recommend.

Went for pie and coffee had the peach cobbler and ice cream. Delish! We asked for coffee and made fresh pot just for us. Even warmed our cups up first . The building is anything but fancy, but was perfect for the casual Florida vibe.
The only point off was the pie not in slices but in individual pot pie tins and the crust was a bit thick. It was explained to us that the merengue on sliced pies was so high, when sliced , it fell

Definitely will not be back. We paid $8.35 for a kids meal (which is fine) then $3.65 for her drink, but she was not allowed to get refills!! For a total of $12 I don’t understand how you can go half your meal without a drink. I understood our server had a large table, but we weren’t ever offered refills (finally asked when we caught her) and my husbands sweet potato fries were extremely cold so we paid $12.50 for a cheeseburger w/no side or toppings that he ordered. The upgrade for the sweet potato fries was removed. Also prices do not match menu prices?

This is a great place we stumbled on this morning driving to go to crystal river. Amazing and affordable breakfast. I wish we could have come back again and again for lunch and or dinner! The grits and biscuits were delicious and that homemade flavor reminded me of my grandma. I just wish I could have tried the fried chicken and field beans! The pies are another whole world of amazing, i will take one of each! Jenne was an excellent server and was very attentive. Don’t not miss out if you are in the neighborhood or even if you are not make the trip!

Front Porch is the absolute best for home style cooking. The food never disappoints, the service is impeccable and it’s close by which makes it very convenient. We can’t say enough good things about this place. The price can’t be beat. It’s so affordable. We go there all the time. Fried chicken is the best!
