From Chan Bakeshop has a location in Cromwell and I’ve been meaning to take a drive there. When I heard that they opened in Avon, I was ecstatic. The type of bakery is very similar to Bounom, a French inspired bakeshop. I follow them on social media and see what they make, it all looks and sounds so delicious.
It’s in a little plaza right on route 44. I went on a Friday around 1:30 and they had a limited selection which is understandable. The person helping me out recommended I go earlier. They still had mango cake slices, Korean BBQ; hot dog; pizza milk bread, and cookies. Milk bread is made with water instead of milk.
I decided to purchase the Korean BBQ milk bread for $10; wow it was tasty, the bread was fluffy. That alone deserved 5 stars. There were a couple of tables to sit at. I can’t wait to go back earlier in the day and try more times out!

Heard good things from a friend and had to give it a shot. The issue is is that this place is too good and very close to home, it’s a problem. The ube muffin was absolutely fantastic and their iced coffee was also very good. Can’t wait to keep coming back!!

I finally had a chance to stop in to this bakery. I met the owners at the Taste of Avon event and had loved what they prepared for that. I picked up what I think was a tomato panini and OMG can’t wait to go back!

So happy to have this place right on route 44! Every single item I have ordered has been exceptional! Sweet or savory- absolutely delicious! The young ladies working were so friendly and sweet. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for some great pastries/confections etc.

the inside of the shop was very nice it was nicely took care of and there was nothing dirty so I was very suprised because most pastry shops don’t try that hard to keep the place clean the cashier was very nice and suggested some nice drinks as a very indecisive person it was very helpful and the food was fire you can tell it was baked by someone who knows how to bake and not some frozen food very good would come again
