Came here about 5:00 p.m. on a weekday, was hoping for a beer and dinner… Was told there is no waitress, no table service, and it appeared that the only person who was serving everyone in the bar was one man who was really really working hard.
Nice guy, wish I’d gotten his name, very accommodating.
We weren’t sure if they didn’t have anyone in the kitchen or if they just didn’t have a waitress so we didn’t order any food and just got beer.
A lot of locals here.

Stopped in for a quick drink yesterday on my way to a family party. We liked the place, service was good even though it seemed one person was running the large bar and cooking. She was doing a great job. Only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that there was a group of what looked like locals on the end of the bar by the door that kept looking over and being obnoxious.

What a fabulous dive bar! We were heading back to Minneapolis from camping and decided to stop here for a quick drink, but several prizes, drinks, apps, and a Froggy’s t-shirt later, we ended up staying for hours. The amazing bartender and the patrons were all very welcoming, which we really appreciated as a queer couple! Buck is a very talented and attentive bartender! We will definitely be back.

Saw the new sign being transported up 35 on Friday the 11th on our way to St Croix camping. Decided to get lunch there on our way home on Sunday.
Worth it! Great food, atmosphere and entertainment. I bet it’s even more fun in the evening.

The new owners were so nice! I dropped off information for work as a rep for AT&T business. I have always liked this bar and will have to visit again on non work hours. Looked and smelled so fresh and clean. Great job!

Not a bad little joint for this sleepy little Interstate 35 town. The first think I noticed was the friendly and engaged staff that had no problem bantering with customers. The next thing was all the ‘stuff’ plastering the walls which never really adds much to a business. Signs, nick nacks and this and that’s. They have a small menu and had kids hanging out which gave it a bit of a Chucky Cheese kind of feel. A little gaming area to keep the chitlens busy while Ma and Pa tip back a few. I thought it would be more of a DIVE bar by the sign out front but it felt like an Applebees. But maybe the ambience changes as the day turns to nite. Hop on in sometime on your way to Hinkley or Duluth or maybe the Twin Cities if your heading that away.

No pickle and had to ask for pasta salad. An $80 bill + 20% tip for 3 ppl. Now I understand why we were the only ppl eating the 2 hours we were there. The burgers were really good.

My boyfriend and I frequent this place because we love the atmosphere. Food and drinks always seem to hit the spot- so delicious! However, we came in today to a noticeably aggravated bartender. (it was understandable because he was the only bartender working an it was decently busy). We sat down, said hi and waited for about 20 minutes before being served our first drink. During that time we witnessed multiple transactions including pull tabs. We had a $20 bill waiting to use for pull tabs so we asked Dennis if we could play. He told us that he does food and drinks before pull tabs, which is common and understandable. But didn’t we just witness you pulling pull tabs before we even got greeted or a drink? We didn’t say anything. we drank our drinks and talked amongst ourselves. About an hour passes and we ask Dennis again about pulltabs because we watched him grab some for another patron. He dismissed us again, noticeably becoming more angry. I literally spoke up at this point and asked, “Dennis, did we piss you off??” He shot around and exclaimed “NO, IM JUST BUSY.” My boyfriend and I felt uncomfortable to stay at this point and we started to walk out. (we had paid for our drinks right after we got them so we didn’t have a tab). here’s the kicker- AS WE ARE LEAVING, Dennis takes it upon himself to additionally tell us that we “are always so demanding.” I was so taken aback by this because we barely had any conversation with this man… If he didn’t want to work in customer service, maybe he should reconsider his role as a bartender.
