The Froggy Bottom Pub is very bright and has a more modern feel than a traditional pub, which I actually enjoyed. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive, and service overall was good.
As for the food, I tried the pho. The broth itself was fairly mild and didn’t have much flavor on its own. While they do provide the usual add-ins so you can adjust it to your taste, even after adding them it still felt a bit bland compared to what I typically expect from pho.
It wasn’t bad, just average. Solid overall experience, but the pho didn’t really stand out flavor-wise.

Froggy Bottom Pub has a relaxed, no-frills vibe—nothing fancy, but comfortable enough for a casual hangout. A couple of draft beers were out but there are other options and happy hour drink deals. Though I didn’t try the food (other than fries) the food menu is a fun mix of classic bar favorites and Vietnamese options, which is unexpected. It’s not a must-visit, but if you’re in the area, it’s a decent spot to grab a drink and something a little different to eat.

We were going to go to a Panda Express originally in DC but saw this place instead and decided to go. The owners were super nice and personable. I tried Vietnamese Pha Go and it was very good. My kids had chicken fingers and they said they were great as well. Reasonable pricing and a unique dining experience. I thought it was excellent.

I have been going to the Foggy Bottom Pub for years, probably around fifty visits for lunch, and it continues to be one of my favorite reliable spots in downtown DC. The staff are always very friendly, and the owner is personable and welcoming, which gives the place a warm, familiar feel every time I stop in.
The menu offers classic pub food that is consistently good, satisfying, and exactly what you want from a local pub. They also have a nice selection of beer on tap, which pairs perfectly with the relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. It is the kind of place where you feel like a regular, even if you are only stopping by for a quick meal.
A dependable, friendly pub good food and quality beer. I only complaint is that the wine is not the greatest but it is a pub not a restaurant.

Really nice. Surprisingly affordable food and drinks. Friendly service and huge portions. Especially nice bartender made it a nice place to sit for a while. I’ll be back.

What a great find! I wanted some Vietnamese food and the wife and kids wanted pub food. That was exactly what we got. The pizza smelled amazing as well but that it for another visit. 5* for great service and great food. We will be back!

Visited here recently and had a good time! The owner was very nice and I loved how she tried to make everyone feel at home. Bartender was a pleasant guy and was super helpful.
They have a pretty spacious bar and lots of seating around the restaurant. The drink menu was full of fun original drinks! Everything was priced consistent with other bars I’ve visited. Definitely recommend!

We came here during a quick visit to DC on a Saturday afternoon.
The pub food I ordered (Fish & chips) was very nice. Proper fish pieces were hand-battered and fried crisp.
One of my kids had the PHÒ and it was unexpectedly wonderful. Simple noodles and meat but the broth were exceptionally good.
Moses was the gentleman who served our food. I say he was also a 5-star server, quick, witty and nice.
I would definitely like to come back when we are around.

Ordered take out only, was on vacation in DC and it was within walking distance from our hotel. Nice little bar and grill, ordered food, was ready when I arrived, staff was very friendly. Good portion sizes, food was delicious. Will most likely visit again if I am in DC again, but next time think I will dine in, nice atmosphere.

I have had wings in probably 10 different states and these were the best by far. The food and atmosphere were fantastic. The drinks were cold and crisp. The owners and bartender-soon to be owner-were amicable and wonderful to have conversation with. This was my first visit to DC and I will definitely visit Froggy Bottom the next time I come in town. They are for real…not just for frills.
