Kevin, thanks for the great experience. Traveling from Atlanta and looking for good “buffalo” wings . We didn’t find them here.. we found excellent wings here!!!

Nice little spot that offers a surprisingly amazing pizza. I would give the pizza a perfect score from the type of dough to the sauce. The dough was a thick style that was chewy yet crispy… we came from old forge, and this pizza was better than most offerings in old forge. The wings were also very good! Stop in and give the frog pond pub a try, I promise you will not be disappointed.

Walked through door and greeted immediately with a hello and smile. Super clean and cozy atmosphere. The wings were amazing and the pizza was just as amazing. The owner was very personable and had no issue when we asked for extra crispy last minute. They go above and beyond. Next trip in from Florida I will definitely be back. My new pizza and wing place. Definitely give this place a try. You won’t regret it. Thank you for making our dining experience enjoyable.

Ordered red garlic wings, waffle fries, and a small round pie. Orange crush and cherry kiss for drinks. The drinks weren’t bad but they weren’t exactly good either. Orange crushes are supposed to be made with fresh OJ but you can tell it wasn’t. The waffle fries and cheese were really good, good flavor and nicely cooked. The wings were nice and crispy without being over cooked. Sauce was good too. The pie was ok. Wasn’t a fan of the sauce. Had a good crust but the bottom was too soggy. They had 1 guy working the bar and being a server so service was on the slow side

We headed out to Frog Pond to try their highly rated wings. Tuesday is their wing nite. Each sauce required a minimum of 10 wings at 65 cents a wing. We ordered 10 wings of Bull Frog (butter, garlic parm sauce), Red Garlic (not a strong garlic flavor), Sweet N Sassy (mild stick to your fingers like honey sweet sauce). We ordered the wings extra crispy. The wings were larger than others and they cooked them perfectly extra crispy. The bull frog wings were the best in my opinion. Moving on….I tried their Sicilian pizza which is sold by the cut. I didn’t quite understand it but if you order 1 cut…it’s divided into 2 cuts. If you ordered 2 cuts then it would be divided into 4 and so on. I asked with onion. The pizza is pretty interesting. It’s doughy, cheesy and had a nice flavor that I was trying to figure out. Their pizza is like a person that you aren’t so sure about at first and then they actually grow on you.

The Frog Pond Pub is a no-frills establishment, located on a small side street (a parking lot is readily available on the opposite side of the street) and permeates with a genuine neighborhood atmosphere. The menu is small and consists mainly of bar food — burgers, pizza, and wings, for example — but the food is worth the visit.

We arrived around 6:45 and were immediately greeted and seated. I ordered a dozen wings with six lathered on “sweet and sassy” sauce, and the remainder drenched with the “Kickin’ Bourbon.”

The wings were plump and juicy. The sweet and sassy was tangy with moderate heat, as I expected it to be, but the Kickin’ Bourbon was how a bourbon sauce should be. The bourbon flavor wasn’t hidden among other spices, but was truly pronounced and amazing.

My girlfriend ordered the chicken tenders which came with a side of fries. Although the fries were a bit overcooked, the tenders were crispy on the outside, while moist and tender on the inside.

The restaurant looks as though it was once a large house, with two dining rooms which are completely separated from the bar area. The service was quick and friendly, adding to the local neighborhood feel. Want to relax while eating a great, simple meal? Hop on over to The Frog Pond Pub.

The Frog Pond offers a variety of menu items such as: award winning wings, appetizers, salads sandwiches, burgers, and much more. There is also a tadpole menu for kids. Cute. The frog pond seats approximately 100 people and through their doors walk in the most important people, their customers! After learning a little bit more about The Frog Pond, Lisa started me off with a red delicious cherry martini rimmed with red sugar . This drink was not only gorgeous it was absolutely delicious. I hopped through the doors hungry needless to say I wasn’t not afraid to eat. I started off with a wedge salad . Literally a huge wedge of iceberg lettuce topped with diced tomatoes crumbled bacon blue cheese crumbles and chunky blue cheese dressing. LOVED IT. Next I was looking for something I’ve never seen before in NEPA, and to my surprise I found Tater Kegs. That’s right – huge housemaid stuffed tater tots. Five to an order, these babies are like crack. Made with cheese bacon, chives and served with ranch or sour cream. I know I will randomly be stopping in here to get my fix.Because The Frog Pond is known not only for the pizza, they are also known for their award winning wings. No I’m not a wing person – I enjoy wing bites, but I had to try them while I was there.Lisa suggested I try their mild AND their bullfrog wings- their most popular kind. Their mild sauce was quite different than most wing sauces I’ve tried over the years. I wasn’t a huge fan, but I’m also not a wing person. Everyone’s taste buds are different. However, I really enjoyed the bullfrog wings made with butter garlic parm they were huge, crispy, and flavorful. I would definitely order these again. After the wings I was FULL- but they was still more to try , like their “unfrogettable” pizza. Most if you know I’ve only lived in Nepa for 10 years. I’m not a fan of red cuts of pizza. I wasn’t raised on it. However, I had to try what they’re most known for and to my surprise not bad. I couldn’t try the red cuts without trying the white so I ordered both. I absolutely love white pizza and there’s is white Sicilian made with cheese, herbs, onions and spices. Delicious.Would I order it again? Yes! Lisa also suggested that I try their cheeseburger pizza one because it was photogenic, two because it’s delicious, and three because it’s one of their most popular pizzas. Their cheeseburger pizza is made with bacon, beef, cheese, and onion and if you want 85 MJ‘s way, you can substitute red sauce for ketchup and mustard and I did exactly that. I only got to eat one slice of this pizza but from what I experienced, amazing. To me it tasted more like a hot dog but who care? It’s great either way. I think next time I’ll add some pickles to really give it that cheeseburger flavor- Even some special people of mine got to taste it later that evening, and they too enjoyed it. Last but not least, I ordered a cheesesteak Lisa said this is one of their most popular items and it’s made with sautéed green peppers onion and sauce. I didn’t get to take in the full experience of this bad boy because I was so full but from what I can remember it was great and next time I go I will probably order one again so I can get a better taste of what it’s about. I really enjoy the food from the frog pond on Cole Street in Wilkes bare. The prices are great the food is great the people are great and it’s a great local Korner establishment to kick back to relax in. So the next time you’re out and about hop on over to The Frog Pond on Coal Street in Wilkesbarre.

Tasty pizza and friendly folks! I’ve already visited the Frog Pond twice in the last couple months, and it’s been a consistently good experience. This past time was just a few days ago. My wife and I brought another couple with us, and we split a large pizza with extra cheese, garlic, onions, sweet peppers, and tomatoes. Delicious! Our server was the same friendly server as we had the previous time. She has a good sense of humor and keeps the current lengthy beer list memorized.
