I’ve been a loyal customer of Fritz Bakery for years and have always loved their cakes. They are beautiful, delicious, and usually a highlight of our family gatherings. However, my most recent experience was disappointing, not because of the cake itself (which was great), but because of the way a problem was handled.
For my brother’s engagement cake, I provided a cake topper and fresh raspberries for decoration. When I picked it up, I didn’t notice right away, but once I got home I realized the acrylic cake topper had been broken into three pieces. The cake itself was intact and the drive was very short and smooth, so I immediately called the bakery to let them know. Thankfully, I had ordered a second topper that arrived later that day, so I was still able to use that one on the cake.
I spoke with the manager on duty around 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 20th. While he did say “I’m sorry you’re unhappy,” there was no apology or accountability for the actual issue, the broken topper. Instead, I was told it “definitely wasn’t them” and was given unhelpful suggestions like taping the topper back together, using a birthday topper, or putting some kind of edible picture on top (which wasn’t clearly explained and didn’t make sense for this cake). He also kept asking me what I thought happened, which was frustrating because I was calling them for answers. What bothered me most wasn’t the broken topper itself, but the lack of ownership, professionalism, or effort to make it right. Even something as simple as offering to cover the cost of the topper or giving a small voucher or coupon would have shown they cared about keeping a long-time customer happy.
I still love their cakes and will likely order again, but this experience left me with a bad impression of their customer service. Hopefully management takes this feedback to heart, because good customer service is just as important as a good product.

Came to Fritz’s Bensalem December 11 2025 at 2:45 PM to pick up a custom birthday cake that I ordered a week in advance and I saw that guy had just brought out some small butter cakes, so I said I’ll take one of them. It looked delicious that was until I brought it home, This butter cake wasn’t even properly baked and is probably not safe and completely un edible Fritz advertises 50 years of baking experience. This is what you serve your customers that looks like 50 years of baking experience ShopRite does it better !! The birthday cake looks like a 10 year old decorated it this was ordered a week in advance it was supposed to have colorful balloons, and flowers, two flowers and blobs of ugly color that are supposed to be balloons does this look like it’s worth $38 I think not !! At the register you have an option to tip ? I tipped the person that helped me. He closes the register. No thank you just walks away. Rude. Can’t bake butter cake can’t decorate a birthday cake and two ignorant to say thank you for the tip. I guess it won’t be coming back here anymore !!!
Next time I’ll take my business to Junior‘s Cheesecake Bakery in Burlington, New Jersey at least I know they will do it right !!!

I had ordered a cake and dozen of cupcake for pick up today. Prior I had showed up in person to place my order and send an email of what I wanted the cake and cupcakes to look like. The cupcakes don’t reflect that.
By the time my husband came home, there would have been no point returning to the store bc of the hours for that day due to holiday along w me getting ready for my daughter party.
I just wish that there would have been communication on the design of the cupcake if that couldn’t be fulfilled.
My complaint is not the taste of the cake and cupcakes. My complaint is that it was not the design I paid for and at this point the lack of response when I had tried to reach out.

A lovely bakery with incredible fresh baked items.
I really appreciate the way they cut the sticky buns / cinnamon buns in that it guarantees you get a full size bun and a little extra. It shows they care a out you getting what you ordered and not being anything other than the right level of generous.
They also have fantastic tea cookies and eclairs and none of it really breaks the bank.

We ordered two sheet cakes for our wedding – vanilla/chocolate and old fashioned chocolate chip pound cake, both with buttercream icing. They were incredibly high quality, beautifully decorated, and absolutely delicious. We got so many compliments on our cakes. Luckily we ordered too much, so we had leftovers to enjoy!

2025 sticky buns were a disappointment. Order 2 half sheets and they were over baked. The ends were so hard they had to be cut off. The inside (including the middle) were dry. Not the same quality as years in the past. This purchase is not the first time I’ve experienced dryness this is why I’m now giving the rating. Perhaps we need to request not to over baked???

The cream cheese sticky buns were phenomenal. I bought a half dozen for a reasonable price, less than 12 dollars, which is less than 2 bucks a piece.
Side note, microwave them for 10 seconds, in a bowl, and then drizzle milk over the whole thing. Probably the wisest decision I’ve made this year.
I planned to share these, and it’s over 12 hours later, I’ve eaten 4 and am jealously guarding the other 2.
