This is my second time trying apple fritters here in Canada, and they didn’t disappoint. The staff were so nice they even gave us some extra. The place is cozy and has lots of cute corners perfect for taking pictures.

We had the apple fritters with ice cream and they were so fresh and tasty – 10/10 would recommend. The staff were so nice and friendly too. Our fritters had a 5 min wait so we were given a mini sample to try in the meantime. We were offered sauces (we chose caramel) which added an unexpected $2.50, but I could look past that once we tasted the fritters! This is a must do at Niagara on the lake.

Shop worker (owner?) was so nice and the apple fritters hit the spot! Fritters were all tasty by themselves or with sauce but my favorite was the fritter with maple syrup. Photos feature the fritters + drinks from coffee shop next door.

We had a great experience at Fritters on the Lake! The apple fritter donuts were so fresh and tasty. The staff were also very friendly, welcoming, and thoughtful. We will definitely be returning again the next time we visit Niagara-on-the-lake!

What an amazing place! I highly recommend getting the fritters with *ice cream*. The cold ice cream on the fresh hot fritter was so good.
They also had an apple slush today that was not on the menu but it’s made with apples ONLY (no sugar or preservatives). They literally invited us to watch them juice the apples and turn it into slush. It was so good and refreshing.
The service is phenomenal!! We got to write on the wall too 😀

Wish I could give more than 5 stars for both food and service! The owner was such an incredibly nice man and the fritters are the best apple fritters I’ve ever had, this is coming from someone whose favorite dessert is apples and cinnamon sugar. Next time we’re in the area we will be stopping by again.

Cute little shop on the corner. The guy serving us was so nice and very courteous. I love apples, cinnamon and donuts, so these fritters fits the bill. Caution, they are really hot even after 10 minutes. The apple slushy was really good especially when its 30°C. There are a fe tables on the patio and some seating inside. Its small and quaint.

We attended on a Saturday morning. We’ve never attended this place and were expecting the typical apple fritter donut that you get at your typical Canadian donut franchise. We were pleasantly surprised that the fritters are actually slices of apples. The employee was extremely helpful and described to us the entire process of how they will make the fritters. It was a bit of a wait while they made the items and during that time the employee was very friendly and chatty.Excellent experience. Would recommmend.

While the ambiance of Fritters in the Lake was charming, the fritters themselves fell short of expectations. Compared to the delectable apple fritters I’ve enjoyed at St. Jacobs, these were simply average. The dough was heavy, and the filling lacked the sweetness and flavor I’ve come to appreciate. While it might be worth a try for the atmosphere and a walk in historic downtown, I wouldn’t recommend it for the fritters alone.

Nice specialty pastry shop. The fritters were fresh and warm. We ordered the plain cinnamon sugar and they threw in a free extra one with caramel sauce for us to try. It is literally a fried apple ring. Great to heat the next day for breakfast.
The outdoor patio was nice and quaint. Great location to coffee shops and specialty stores. This is a beautiful little town. Walking distance to the park, public washroom, carriage rides and shops.
