The food was amazing. The service was very slow – with a few more hands this place would be perfect. The best snack ever totally lived up to it’s name. It was my favorite thing on the menu. There cilantro lime fries were greasy, I would not order again. The chicken frita was great – I ordered it loco and it was so much food. The passion fruit batido is the best one. The plantains were just okay to me – I usually love plantains and would not reorder. They didn’t taste freshly prepared.

Frita Batidos Detroit is the modern standard for exemplary dining, service, and the overall restaurant experience. It is a pillar of Detroit eats, and the best Cuban street food in the entire state. The award winning Frita is a legendary burger where every component is of the highest taste. It pairs perfectly with one of the Batidos, a tropical milkshake, that is my favorite beverage in the area. You can order this with alcohol too, and many other finely crafted drinks including the Frita Mojito, Frita Margarita, Frita Colada, sangria, beer – their bar rolls deep. They also have many other elite food options, I love their chicken salsa verde with 50/50 rice and salad, best snack ever, churros – this whole menu goes all the way in, it’s fire! A must try place.

Customer service was good. The staff did a great job at explaining the food. The toppings are a la carte if you are ordering a sandwich. The food is a tad bit oily. The garlic parm fries are good, really oily though. The atmosphere was nice a mimalistic.

We ordered catering for Halloween today, and it was excellent. The meats are so flavorful and tender, and everything was delicious. We got the create your own sandwich bar with 2 meats – chicken and ropa vieja – both yummy. The beef is sweet and savory and the chicken is spicy and in a green sauce; both slow-cooked to perfection. We also had plantains both ways – fried as crisps with avocado spread and shrimp ceviche, and twice fried – sweet with an herby garlic sauce. I highly recommend the shrimp ceviche – it was absolutely perfect, and what I’d order just for myself next time! The crispy plantains are so addictive and salty sweet. Yum! We also had the “best snack ever” which is this cheesy, tomato-ey rice and beans. Very good. Lastly, we had the mini churros which were pretty great – they arrived still warm! They look and taste pretty much like cinnamon sugar donut holes. We didn’t get the chocolate dipping sauce this time, but I bet it takes those over the top. The mayos that come with the setup were delicious as well – no complaints on food or service – everything was great. Communication was open and clear and delivery was right on time. Looking forward to ordering again and stopping in myself as well!

A true hidden gem! The chorizo burger was the best burger I’ve ever had in my life. The food is so good here I can’t stop thinking about it. The fishbowl drinks are massive and are a very good value, they’re enough for 4 people at least! Amazing service and a hip interior. I recommend going here before a show as it’s very close to the Fox and the Fillmore.

First time at Frita’s and I decided to take my food to go because it was cold outside and in the restaurant. I got the fish with avocado spread. They said it’d be about at 10 min wait & that was accurate. The bag smelled great on the 8 min drive home. I got home opened the bag & box and these fries are objectively terrible. It’s like they gave me old fries from last week. These fries were not only not fresh, I can’t imagine they were supposed to be served to any customer. It’s very disappointing. I dumped them off my burger and the sandwich was actually very good. The fish patty was tender & moist & well flavored. There was absolutely no avocado spread so that was $1.50 wasted.

Very clean look and great food! We ordered 2 burgers, conch fritters, a salad, chips & salsa, plus a pineapple-mango (smoothie), and mojito. Between the 2 burgers, we added munster cheese, bacon, and a sunny side up egg. It was a nice day, so we sat outside. Overall, it was a very nice dining experience, I’d go back without hesitation!
