I’ve never been here before, we decided to stop in after the tigers game. First impressions it was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. We got the inspired Cuban sandwich which we split it came out after a few minutes. It was not only fresh but very delicious and honestly ill be back just for this and maybe next time try the garlic fries. The sandwich was packed with meat while also making sure the bread was crispy. Very good food and friendly staff im definitely coming back.

We truly enjoyed our dinner here on the patio outside. We ordered the black bean burger and the beef burger (cooked to medium since the standard is medium rare for the restaurant unless you say otherwise). Both burgers were delicious and full of flavor. We also ordered 2 sangrias and those were super yummy. For sides, we got the garlic cilantro fries (very oily but so delicious!) and the loaded plantains. When sitting outside, they brought us a tray of condiments, napkins, and tap water. They do have a happy hour and we will have to come back to try that out. Highly recommend!

Great casual place near Little Caesars arena. Stopped here before an evening game and it hit the spot! Service was great and quick. The food had great complex flavors for simple dishes. Looking forward to going here again when in Detroit

As a long-time fan of Frita Batidos in Ann Arbor, I was thrilled when they opened a second location in downtown Detroit. Their Cuban-inspired burgers have always been a standout for me — bold, flavorful, and totally unique. The original spot in Ann Arbor is hands-down one of my favorite burger joints in Michigan, so naturally, I had high hopes for the new location.
I’ve visited the Detroit location three times now, and while the overall vibe and menu remain consistent, the execution has been a bit uneven. On my most recent visit, I ordered my burger medium-well, but it arrived closer to medium-rare, with visibly undercooked meat in the center. It was a bit of a letdown, especially considering how consistently well-prepared the burgers are in Ann Arbor.
This difference in quality and consistency seems to be a shared experience — I’ve heard similar feedback from friends who’ve also tried both locations. It’s disappointing because the flavors and concept are still fantastic, and when done right, these burgers are some of the best around.
That said, I still appreciate the Detroit outpost for bringing this delicious Cuban burger experience closer to home. The space is fun, the service is friendly, and the potential is absolutely there. I just hope the kitchen can tighten up the cooking standards to match the excellence of the original.
Verdict: Still worth a visit, especially if you’ve never had a Frita burger before — just keep an eye on how your burger’s cooked. If they can iron out the consistency, this location could easily live up to the high bar set by Ann Arbor.

My husband and I had a fantastic meal at Frita Batidos! I had the Frita Bowl with pork and was so impressed by how much pork there was. It paired so well with the coconut rice and tropical slaw. I also enjoyed a mojito which was a little strong, but in the best way! My husband got the chicken frita and loved it, along with his Dos Equis. We shared the twice-fried plantains, which were perfectly sweet and came with a delicious dipping sauce. Everything was well worth the cost, and we can’t wait to go back.

Good food, busy staff. 15 mins for ordered drinks to be delivered to the table. Inside was next to nothing as far as decor/ environment effort but efficient for turning over crowds quickly without having to assign seating. Find your own table situation. Mojito fishbowl was not as strong as the individual single drink.
