So great to come across a frisches, those are on the rare side these days, so we were excited when we came across this one! It did not disappoint, it had the frisches atmosphere we’ve been missing, the food was hot and fresh and tasted like it should (we had big boys and fries, of course), our waitress was great. Only complaint…they did have Pepsi, not Coke (we all fall on a different side of that debate, clearly I’m on the Coke side, lol) but I’m not going to hold that against them, everything else was spot on! Would visit again if we’re ever back in that area!

Salads are made with shredded lettuce that’s used on sandwiches. Who ever decided to make salads with shredded lettuce should NOT be in the food business. The chili used to be the best, now it’s all beans and not good. Use to have really good buffalo bites but now discontinued. Atmosphere isn’t the best, there’s one waitress that never stops talking and was never taught to use her indoor voice and actually runs at times when she waits on tables. Over all the service is very prompt and the food is served in a very timely manner. I understand businesses are trying to survive and make a profit but cutting the quality of food isn’t the way to do it. People don’t mind spending money on good food.

If you cut the quality of the Burgers it definitely is quickly noticeable. No telling how much of your solid core you have already lost. I asked my brother-in-law if he had ever eaten at Frischs Big Boy and he said ” yeah we tried it a few months ago and were not impressed with the food ” this was after we had already even at your restaurant and had a bad experience. On a cold day to have been served these kinds of low quality small food portions was a real old school insult. As a long time business person I can tell you this. When you start cutting quality and portions, people dobnotice. If You start doing that and you start raising prices at the same time then you won’t be in business very long even if you have $7 specials or something like that. You need customers that are willing to spend 15-20 bucks on a and the last thing that they expect is to get hit with some subpar 1/6lb.
You may not realize but you’re competing with companies better outperforming you like its nobody’s business.
If you got to charge more then do it but please start providing a premium quality Burger. Also wheat gluten now contains a desiccant called glyphosate there’s a lot more Gluten Sensitive people out there because the food is being farmed differently and poisonously and while that’s not your fault you guys could do something to help by offering gluten-free options. By Nature most meat is gluten-free as long as it’s not Grill on the same grill that grills toast or something. All you got to do is provide some gluten-free bread in your own business.
My honest opinion is that your brand is not long for this world if you don’t make some changes quick. Also you might want to squeeze your supplier or change suppliers to get something better. Was really missing big boys until I had this experience. And it left me kind of hungry kind of mad and desperate to keep the big boy name alive through quality and service.
We came in from out of state and hadn’t seen a big boy in 30 years. So naturally we bought the family lunch and spent $100.
There’s only one problem nobody was full and nobody was satisfied. My Mushroom Swiss burger was an absolute pathetic mess. Did an excellent job it was the qu ality of the food that really hurt our feelings and cost you this review. The eggs are the cheapest. The sausage and hamburger were the very bottom of the barrel quality.
Even the bun lacked quality. And that would have been okay if the quality would have been there but the portions were too small.
So you took our money on both the size and the quality and we didn’t even get a meal out of the deal. Whoever’s managing this place should be replaced whoever owns it should be informed if they’re not already making the decisions because they probably won’t be in business very much longer.

To do to make it right. Need to hire a new manager a new staff Under New Management on the billboard first start by providing better quality food then you can raise the prices after 6 months once you prove that what you have is real.

This place has gone way downhill since I was a child. I used to come here all the time with my grandma and my mom and one of the reasons why I wanted to come in the night that I came in was because of the memories. And I just am surprised that this place has outlasted ponderosa in friendly’s that used to be in around the same area. Honestly I’m very shocked that this place is lasted so long because this place is dead and the food is definitely not good and it is a dirty place to be and it’s not their fault it’s because the age of the building it has been there forever that I know of ever since before I was born but it was kind of chaotic because there’s only two people working and I was very shocked to see so many people there on a Friday night that is when I went this past Friday. And the one waitress just kept looking at us while the other one was doing all the work honestly is all the other one take maybe four tables and the other young lady took maybe 15 like I said I was very shocked to see that many people there. But I do like it for the memories I do miss my grandma and that is why I decided to go

I was Really DISAPPOINTED with the FOOD today it was NASTY I GO an Order inside when I 1st get in there the 2Gurls at front Counter are talking n laughing Very Loud with Another customer I’m Standing at the Counter an They Don’t Acknowledge Until I look at them so I ORDERED A BIG BOY N FRY N PEPSI IT COST $13.00 DOLLARS didn’t take long to get Food I go to my CAR to EAT FOOD bcuz I’m STARVING an I Open up sealed Bag there’s NO SALT PEPPER OR KETCHUP NO KNIFE TO SPREAD MY MAYO On bread so I Had to go back inside an they are Still talking to same lady but it was a 3rd Girl now I get my stuff go back to car Start to EAT FOOD ONLY to see that the FRIES ARE RECOOKED N MUSHY an the BIGBOY BURGER was ALSO MUSHY SOGGY LIKE just Horrible TASTING I was so PISSED OFF this is my FAVORITE SPOT but i WONT BE BACK for awhile i Wasted my money tonight

Ordered onion rings, they brought us fries and when we pointed it out, the waitress went and got a plate, came back to the table wanting us to scrape the fries off of our plates. When she brought out our onion rings they were massively over cooked almost burnt. And we both ordered the slim Jim (buddy boy), no panini press or any press on the bun. Just didn’t taste like we were expecting. No offer to speak to the manager or $5 off.
