I think it will be a long time before I go back to this location. We visited here later in the afternoon around 2:30 so there was no crowd. Myself and the person I was with was in the mood for Frisch’s salad and a sandwich so we came here. Mistake! Cell phones and friends visiting seemed to be more important than taking care of the dining room. About the salad bar…the lettuce had brown pieces of lettuce in it like it was old even after being replaced. There was items on the bar that you really had to try to guess what it was. Some of the items on the bar tasted like it was spoiled. The glass around the top of the bar was dirty with fingerprints and some type of not so clear film on it. Kind of like hasn’t been wiped down in a while. Luckily our sandwiches were ok but it wouldn’t make me go back any time soon. The windows around the front of the building were all dirty on the inside from not being wiped down and the divider between the tables where we sat had hand prints on it that looked like kids with food on their hands wiped their hands on it. I wouldn’t recommend this location during the daytime.

First off, manager was no where to be found. 2 servers on the floor…who by the way did a great job considering they had zero support. I was so impressed with the young man who was also the cook. He jumped out front with the bus cart and starting bussing tables. I spoke with him as he was doing so, his name is Alex. I asked Alex about his job and what he hoped to be doing in the future and this young man told me he would like to be a manager someday. In my opinion this young man is well on his way. Actually probably more qualified than Helen ( the manager on duty at that time) I was a manager for many years….actually started waiting tables at Frischs back in the 80’s and went from there. (At a different restaurant) I told Alex all of this and how a good manager is all over the restaurant when needed…cooking, dishes, hostess, bus person, or drive thru. He said he enjoyed his job and he was very kind. Just an amazing attitude. Thank you Alex for who you are. Oh and on another note, for those who don’t know, salad bar is $12.99 by itself or 8.99 plus the cost of an entree. Salad bar was not fresh.

Everything was wonderful. Anna our server was great and the manager very helpful. You order at the counter and your server brings the food to your table. The burgers, onion rings, mac and cheese were all great.

Main food acceptable, children finished their entrees. My mashed potatoes had been sitting somewhere for awhile… Had formed a crust…. the middle of the potatoes tasted ok with the gravy over it.
The restaurant had no ice cream or “pie babies”!
(We had to find a different location for desserts)
Server was helpful and polite.

The lady at the drive thru has no personality but she did her job. It would be nice if she was friendlier. This is my first time at a Frisch’s Big Boy. I ordered the grilled cheese for one of my pups, Lola. The other one, Tilly, is extremely finicky and wouldn’t want it. Well, Lola wanted the grilled cheese without the bread. She only wanted the cheese. Lol I tried the grilled cheese, and it was a bit too salty for me. The fish in the fish sandwich was thick and flakey. Very good for fast food. The fried mushrooms were good, too. I think the food would taste better when eaten after it was cooked, and not get transported about 10 miles, checked in, unpacked then eaten. I would probably eat at a Frisch’s again on this trip when I want something quick. I will probably just get the grilled cheese, and give my dog some of the cheese, and the sandwich should be less salty.

I ordered some Nathans through door dash. Picked it up even though they don’t offer pick on door dash. Let me tell you this was the nastiest food I’ve had all year. I ordered Two Philly steaks, a coney dog, and two cheese fries. All over it was terrible. The fries were burnt and soggy at the same time. The Philly Steaks subs weren’t even edible. I’ve eaten at Nathans in New Jersey several times and it was consistently good. This was a disgrace to the name. Oh and Door Dash only gave a $12 credit of the $43 I spent. Never, Eva, Eva again!

This store disappointed me…I got the Big Boy combo style (ended up with a hamburger with tarter sauce). Only 1 patty, cheese not melted and sandwich cold. Onion rings, yall know I love Frischs’ onion rings, pasty white with maybe 2 actual rings. I called the store and complained to Mike. He offered to make it right but I probably won’t take him up on it. The lady on the phone and at the window was fantastic .

Had the 9.99 breakfast buffet. Not bad. The potatoes were good n crisp, with actual seasonings !( y’all know I need my paprika, garlic n pepper ), everything was good for a $10 breakfast that I didn’t have to cook or clean up after.

I would give it a two star because the kids liked their food (chicken tenders and a plain cheeseburger), but all of our food was luke warm. My onion rings and cheeseburger were overcooked. The kids’ fries were kind of soggy. The place was just dirty. The restroom was just gross. The floor was sticky, water was leaking from a commode, the door handle was filthy and the smell was horrendous. A lady in there said she complains of the smell every time she’s there. It’s sewer gas. All they have to do is put a gallon of water down the floor drains once a week to make sure the drain doesn’t run dry. This is the Frisch’s on Hamilton Road in Columbus/Groveport. The one in Grove City is so much better in every way. I passed Bob Evans thinking this would be better, but it was the worst $50 (yes, $50!) I’ve ever spent.

Frischs has a great breakfast buffet, thanks Bambi and especially Anna with braids- she was waiting tables and making sure the buffet bar stayed full- I loved both of their energies!!! Keep them!!!! We would have walked out if it wasn’t for Anna keeping the bar filled with options (when we first arrived it was dry, empty and out) Anna got news of that and made sure the bar stayed full from then on out!!! That’s what I’m talking about!!! Yeaaaaaa Frischs!
