My first visit to a real Big Boy restaurant after seeing them in the movies and the statue out front was awesome! The food was good and fresh, we got a Big Boy Burger and the pot pie. I forgot to take a picture of the hot fudge pie because it was so good!

Didn’t stay to eat this time, but I wanted to give a shout out to the manager who came in, obviously on her day off, around lunch time this past Thursday. She walked in to quite a stressful situation, with her 3 kids. The 2 little boys sat up at the bar stools and were well behaved. The manager jumped in and started ringing out customers (who were backed up) with her baby on her hip. It looked like they were very short staffed (possibly one or more employees called in). There seemed to be some issues with some call in orders that 4 ladies were picking up. The manager stayed calm and she and another employee seemed to be getting things straightened out. The kitchen seemed backed up as well, as a waitress called out that she was still waiting for food for one of her tables. My mom and I waited for awhile, but no one came to seat us. I’m not complaining, because they were really busy and short handed. We were really hungry, so we decided to leave this time and go to China Buffet where the food was ready. I just wanted to applaud the hustle. Every place of business has difficult times like these and this crew seemed to be doing their best to take care of everyone. We will definitely try again another day!

Food was really good. The server never gave us refills and we waited over 15-20 minutes after we got done eating before flagging another server down to get a box and our check. Upon leaving the original server came out the front door and was screaming at us and shaking her fist. I don’t know what her issue was because we still left her an undeserved tip on the table in cash! I’m not sure if I will go back after that server showed herself like that!

They only had 2 waitresses on duty but our waitress, Ivory, was friendly & attentive. The food was just as we remembered it from long ago. Frisch’s was founded in 1947 and I remember from my childhood. In my teen years I went here with my date a lot because it was inexpensive. You can get burgers, chicken, pork, or roast beast and breakfast any time of day. My mom’s favorite sandwich, the Big Boy, was as perfectly delicious as she remembered it. There aren’t many restaurants like it these days, a sit down restaurant with fast food prices. My mom liked it so much she tipped extra for our meal and got a burger to go.

Food was excellent. Exactly as I remembered it to be. Service was good considering the ratio of clients to employees. 2 wait staff from approx 2 down tables. Not a ridiculous amount but thr wait for refills and the check wa way slower than it should have been. Not mad about it though as it was the first time I had Frisches in years.

Service was awful asked for water twice and finally got it on the third try. Every time you asked her for something she acted like it was hurting her. Then got charged for something didn’t ask for. The last is they got rid of Omer who had been there for ever and was simply wonderful. We will not be back and for everyone who will listen I will make sure they know that omer was let go. So they can go somewhere else to eat also.

Honestly, I’m pretty disappointed after my last visit. I’ve been coming here on and off for many years, and this past time simply was not great.
We were there an hour before closing. We ordered very simple food (chicken tenders/fries and pancakes/egg/ sausage patties). The chicken tenders were small, sad, and had all been cut open. I understand that inexperienced cooks are often unsure if food is ready, but use a thermometer if that’s the case. Cutting into food not only looks bad, but it ruins the meat by allowing juice to escape, resulting in dry proteins.
The sausage patties were also overcooked and dry. The egg my friend ordered was undercooked (still runny whites, which she explicitly said she didn’t want).
The fries were basic, and the pancakes were okay. We didn’t complain because it was already late and I know how cooks can get at the end of a shift.
I will say, our server was amazing and very friendly, and because of her, we will likely still return.

Ordered from doordash. Got 3 pancakes and a meat, ordered regular big boy and what was supposed to be a smash boy? Cooks are not cleaning grills, my wife’s pancakes were covered in other food, the larger burger with the cooked onions on it was supposed to be a smash burger, wasn’t done right, and the beef used for it tasted terrible, idk what’s going on in that restaurant now but it’s like the guys on the late shift don’t care what they are doing. Morning shift food is always perfect….
