It has the warm, cozy vibe of a local neighborhood sushi spot.
The staff are friendly and the food is tasty, but the portion sizes are a bit small for the price.

The beef udon was delicious, but the overall portion — including the broth — felt quite small, which was disappointing.
The rolls were fresh and tasty, though!

Lastly, they asked if I wanted a dessert coffee, so I waited, but no one ended up bringing it.
I eventually left because I didn’t have much time.

Overall, the service is friendly, but the value for the price could be better.

The restaurant we planned to eat at was closed on a Sunday, so we ended up at Frisby after looking around town. Two of us shared spicy agedashi tofu, assorted tempura and spicy tuna and negitoro rolls. The tempura was a generous plate, served piping hot and not greasy. The rolls were okay, the spicy roll simply had a dollop of hot sauce on each piece. Same with the tofu. Did like that the tofu was served with dipping sauce on the side.

Our server was very friendly.

Overall a decent meal at a reasonable price.

It would have been a 5/5 if it wasn’t for the service.
Food was excellent!
Unfortunately, do not go after 7.45 pm (even they say they close at 9). You won’t be welcome. I won’t blame it all on the waitress as it was the same few years ago with a different one. Unfortunately I guess the owner are making people act like it. My husband and I are working in the industry and we would never kick people out at 8.45pm while we have a bit in our mouth.

Also, I still blame that waiter, I definitely regret giving a 15% as it make that tip culture loosing the interest. In order to get tip, you need to act like you deserve it.
Unfortunately we were a party of 4 from Reve and Golden , and we are not recommending this place.

Sushi with a Side of Bruh

After a day of chasing powder through the steeps and trees of Mount MacKenzie, my crew and I slid into Frisby Ridge Sushi, ready to refuel. We were seated immediately, handed a menu stacked with sushi rolls, sashimi, ramen, and dry noodle dishes, and things were looking promising.

That is, until I suggested the party platter—a glorious 55-piece spread of sushi perfection—only to be met with blank stares from my so-called friends. Just as I was preparing my defense, the adjacent table erupted in high-fives and table slaps, clearly approving of my vision. Whether they had just wrapped up après-ski or had, let’s say, prioritized relaxation at exactly 4:20, we may never know.

Alas, my dreams of quantity over quality were crushed when one of my party declared, “I don’t eat raw fish.” Excuse me? At a sushi restaurant? That’s like going to a steakhouse and ordering a side salad.

Resigned to my fate, I drowned my sorrows in Molsons, some edamame, and gyoza, which were solid but, let’s be honest, not a 55-piece sushi spread. For my entrée, I went with the Yaki Udon with prawns and a crispy Yam Yam Roll, and let me tell you—redemption was served. The udon was bouncy and flavorful, while the yam roll was so good I’d order it on repeat.

Our server—who I can only assume is some kind of hospitality wizard—apologized for the side of bruh and somehow split our check four ways while keeping our drink tabs separate. That alone deserves a five-star review.

Even with the enthusiastic (read: loud) energy of our neighboring diners, I’d absolutely come back to Frisby Ridge Sushi next time we ski Revelstoke. And next time? I’m getting the party platter—whether my friends like it or not.

Staff are friendly and courteous
The food is good but mediocre, and the rice is good, but the chicken is dry and the miso soup is maybe too salty, the dishes and plates look well used with many scratches

The table is sticky

The ramen was excellent. Our group had one of each style and they were all excellent. Everything came out piping hot and very tasty. Will definitely return whenever we are next in Revelstoke.

We had a great experience here. The prices are average. They have a large selection of rolls, appetizers and ramen. The service was great and friendly. The space was clean and quite large. Would dine in again next time in town!

Great place for sushi. As you can see from the pics below, the portion are generous. Our favorite has to be the crispy/ crunchy sushi, it was delicious. The beef sushi is not our favorite. The beef was too dry and its flavor is sup-par comparing to the rest of the dishes. The fried ice cream desert was good but it was a bit too sweet for us, just personal preference. But overall, it is still a great place for sushi with decent price point. We would come back here again.

Consistent high quality food. Super friendly and always quick service. Have been a patron for over 15 years and it is just as tasty every time.
Space is a bit small for how popular it is – warm and cozy though. Cool in the summer. Excellent place.

I ordered Tantakso ramen, but it was not a pleasant experience. The noodles were dry, and there was no flavor. There was also no meat, except for three pieces of shrimp. The smell was unpleasant, like cow food or wild grass. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. They did not even provide me with a bag for the ramen. I will not be returning to this establishment.
