Delicious first-time experience at the Friendship Diner. We visited on a busy Saturday morning, but even with the crowd the food was served in a reasonable time, was hot, and guests were moved through well in the dining area. We ordered the loaded biscuits and gravy, the chicken tender skillet, and the hashstack.
Our server Rita was very attentive and friendly.
Bathroom was also clean and well-maintained.

I can’t give less than 5 stars because everything that I could nitpick is just so small. The plates could be wiped better when served, things like that. However they weren’t sticky or had food in the way of where you would put your hands. I personally would have preferred my coffee poured table side but there is a benefit to having your own pot on your table. Everyone was friendly, nothing was over or under seasoned or cooked. The menus could use an update so that they have a cleaner appearance but the restaurant as a whole was very clean. I enjoyed my visit very much and will eat hear again.

Friendship Diner in Indiana is an absolute gem! We started with the fried green tomatoes, which were perfectly prepared, and followed with the chicken fried steak and eggs simply delicious. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and made with care. The service was outstanding; Rita was attentive, welcoming, and truly made us feel at home. I highly recommend Friendship Diner to anyone looking for a memorable and satisfying dining experience.

This is a great restaurant for breakfast. The service here was outstanding. There are many options and all will be prepared as ordered and delicious. This restaurant is kept very clean. It is very popular with local folks but it is large and they are well staffed to handle any sized group. It is easy to find using Google Maps with plenty of free parking.

This is the best breakfast place in Evansville that we have found. As a whole, the restaurant is kept very clean and updated. Upon walking in, we were greeted with smiling faces and friendly staff. We could tell the owners invest in the restaurant and take pride in the appearance, functionality, and service. The bathrooms and dining area are clean, pleasant, and smell nice. They have a wide variety of food to choose from for breakfast. I can’t speak for any other dining times because we have only been there for breakfast. We were seated quickly and waited on quickly. Our server, Ashley, was very nice, informative, and attentive. Our food was done in a timely manner and was fresh and cooked very, very well The biscuits and gravy were amazing. Our food actually looked like the pictures in the menu, which is a plus. We had no complaints. The portions of food are also good. Throughout the time we were there, Ashely and another servers were checking on us, filling our coffee/drinks, and asking if we needed anything. Our drinks never ran out. Empty plates were also removed from the table in a timely manner. When we left, we were asked how the food was and was told to have a good day. We enjoyed our experience and will be returning in the future.

Friendship diner is friendly . When I arrived they did not have the open sign on. I went inside, and no one was up front. After waiting 3-5 minutes a waitress came through and I was promptly seated. Service after that was immaculate. I had the eggs benny with bacon and it was fantastic. Their biscuits and gravy are phenomenal. The only reason for the lack of 5 star is due to the wait and not knowing if they were opened or not in the beginning. I’m sure on any other day it’s a 5 star.

High paced, local, fast service, great tasting food, and good prices. Everything you want in a family style resteraunt.

With a drink and meal, you should anticipate spending roughly $15 per person that eats. Service is wonderful and the food tastes freshly prepared.

Went in and had around 10 tables in front of us ready to be seated. Even with waiting, ordering our food and eating we were there for less than 1 1/2 hours in total. Waitress was fast and responsive whenever we needed refills and the food was out within 15 minutes despite them being absoutely packed.

Will certainly be back again to eat here. Highly recommend if your looking for a lunch or breakfast location to eat in this area.

Parking is the only tough part, but you understand why once you have visited here.

First time eating here, probably the last. The chicken fried steak was great, otherwise I would’ve given the food a 2. My “german” potatoes were regular dinner shredded potatoes, which tasted frozen…really no taste…then they piled some brown onions on top. They were gross, so I put them aside. I asked for eggs over medium. Granted, over medium is hard to get at a dinner, and this was no exception! The eggs just ran all over the place, they were over easy. I didn’t eat them at all, grossed me out. I also had a couple of pieces of bacon which were cooked right. Crisp, yet not burnt! The biscuit I had was hard on some ends… My waitress was the nicest, happiest and most friendly waitress I think I’ve ever encountered!! She was great! Sad I won’t be seeing her again!!
I’m a good cook, so I’m hard on places, if it’s not better than what I make, no way will I go back!!
