I got a chance to meet Brian. He was very friendly and laid-back.. I got a smoked turkey leg with potato salad and baked beans. The portions are pretty hefty I tried my best to eat it all sooooo gooood!! can’t wait to try his food truck

Their mac n cheese and collards were banging. Their pulled BBQ chicken was delicious. They use more cumin in the BBQ than you probably expect, but I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. I got lucky and was able to eat collards before they added the brisket which made my day since I don’t eat beef. They were accommodating and had great service!

I got the fried catfish, collard greens, and fried green tomatoes. I want to start with how welcoming and how much southern hospitality there was here. Just absolutely amazing service, such genuine people. Now, the food. TALK ABOUT GOOD
Those fried green tomatoes were the best I’ve ever had And thats saying something as I grew up with a garden and fresh fried green tomatoes. I got the Cajun ranch dipping sauce and that sauce was sooo good! The fish had such a good crispy crust and was tender and delicious. The collard greens had such good flavoring and I had to throw elbows so my kids didnt eat it all!
Such a great experience all the way around!

Quick review:
We ordered the spare ribs, smoked sausage, potato salad, bbq beans, collard greens, and fried okra. All of it was great. All of it was cooked perfectly, especially the collards. You know it’s hard to find ’em cooked right, and they know what they’re doing.
Experience:
We were having one of those days were neither of us wanted to cook, or leave the house, so we decided to order out. It might have been 10 minutes or so after we put the order in that we received a call from the restaurant. They were out 2 of the items we ordered and asked if we wanted to replace them with other items, which we did. My wife was especially grateful for that call due to the fact there have been many times we’ve ordered out, didn’t get what we ordered, and there was definitely no call asking if we wanted to substitute with something else, so that was great!
Five minutes after that I got a call from GrubHub, stating that 2 of the items we ordered were out and if it was okay to go ahead and refund them. I told the lady the restaurant had already called and we worked it out. I think she was working out of a call center in another country, and unfortunately, she didn’t seem to understand what I was talking about. She ending up refunding a decent portion of the bill.
I called the restaurant because I wanted to make it right. The owner Ron picked up and we chatted for a bit. I believe they’re going to be going away from Uber Eats/Grubhub, and going with a local delivery service soon as he’s had nothing but issues with them. In the end, he said if you ever make your way into the store to just leave a tip. All of the food we ordered was great. The restaurant calling to see if we wanted to sub items they were out was great, and the owner handling the grubhub screw up the way he did was great.
If you’re in the mood for some great BBQ and awesome side dishes do not hesitate to give Friends BBQ a shot, you’ll love it!

Best wings and brisket in Knoxville by far! all the sides pair perfect with meats and you can’t go wrong with the Kool aid or pineapple lemonade. I don’t eat pork but for a bbq restaurant they still have many different options here without it. Most comforting meal ever ☺️

The service wasn’t the friendliest during my visit but it wasn’t the worst service either.The food however was amazing. I had the ribs, mac n cheese, and greens. My husband had fried catfish, mac n cheese, and potato salad. We shared an extra side of fried okra. Everything about both meals was amazing.

I honestly came here cause I wanted some greens. I got a brisket sandwich with double side of colard greens. Everything was amazing. Very tender brisket and the greens were delicious too! Very flavorful with a hint of spice. One of my favorite spots now.

The best Turkey leg you can find, I’d suggest getting the sauce on the side to dose it yourself. The sides were great too, we tried the Mac and cheese, collard greens, and green beans. Absolutely worth it, definitely try it if you’re in the area.

Paid $10 and waited an hour for pudding. It never came. Went up to the counter and they said 5 more minutes. Waited 20 more minutes. Had to leave. I wonder if it was good.

BBQ Server was disinterested miserable, and dull. Food was awful. BBQ pork was salty and lacking bbq flavours! Served in non recyclable containers. 4 * for food hall atmospher.
