I’m changing my low review about Friends and Pho after having dinner. Great. They’re busy because they’re making a delicious meal.
They may or not be open at the posted time for lunch because it’s a Mom and Pop restaurant and do their own purveying. The hard work shows in the quality of the food.
Support the effort and get the reward of a hot bowl of soup this Fall and Winter.

We come up from Florida once a year to Upstate NY to visit friends. Last year we stumbled upon Friends & Pho a small sit down / take out Vietnamese Pho restaurant. Proprietors are friendly and accommodating. Price is right, everything is cooked to order, hot and delicious. We had the Pho beef and the Bun Bo Hue which is deliciously spicy. Theres seating for maybe 12 people. It’s what I call a local joint. We live local joints. We’ll make the trek every time we visit East Central New York.

Came here today to support a local business this weekend as the dining halls are closed. No regrets, always a great meal and incredibly welcoming atmosphere

Great small independent Noodle House. Walk up counter service and limited seating, friendly service and great food. Definitely a great place to grab a casual quick bite.

This is such a gem to have in Hamilton! I’ve never had a bad meal, and the owners are so kind and thoughtful. If you’re in Hamilton you should absolutely stop for lunch.

Tried Friends & Pho for the first time tonight. Can you say … WOW!! Everything was great & plentiful. No lack of meat on my Banh Mi (but more onions next time please!) & my husband took one taste of if Pho Special noodle soup & I had to restrain him from trying to drink it without chewing. He said it is the best he’s had in CNY so far. Egg rolls were crunchy on outside & tender on inside but could’ve been a tad warmer … but I’m not complaining, just suggesting.

Thank you Friends & Pho we will be back again soon!!

PS … customer service was top notch!! Very kind & warm. Didn’t feel like an inconvenience or rushed. That type of service deserves a 10 ⭐️ rating! Very commendable!!

Doesn’t compare to any other pho place, flavor is inconsistent, no size differences, and small meat portions. The meatballs are also very bad. Recently changed their spring rolls. Taste much worse now.

This is the best culinary experience in Hamilton and rivals anywhere in New York City. Personally, I get the Pho soup each time and have never been disappointed. The flavors are next to none and offers a flavor profile found nowhere else. I’m a big fan of this restaurant and will continue eating here on a weekly basis.

I attended Colgate University and graduated two years ago. I still think about this place all the time. It was delicious and the exact thing to warm you up on a cold day. I’d make the trip back just to eat their pho again.
