Friends and Family Pizza Co. located at the Original Farmers Market at Third and Fairfax is brought to you from the award winning team of Chef Daniel Mattern and James Beard nominated baker Roxanna Jullapat. Our pizza dough is made from naturally leavened whole grain flour just like our bread at Friends and Family in East Hollywood. We serve pizza by the slice as well as whole pies. A selection of salads, drinks and desert completes our menu.

It’s a food stall in the farmer’s market area of The Grove. I ordered a slice of fresh mozzarella, tomato & basil pizza. The pizza was good: very cheesy and lots of topping. However, I wish that the crust was a bit thicker. The very thin crust caused the toppings to slide everywhere when I bit to it.

Friends and Family Pizza Co has excellent service! The location is prime, and it’s right next to an entry / exit to the farmers market.
I had a cheese pizza slice, and I will say the crust texture is good: nice and crispy.
It was cheesy! But the cheese was not just mozzarella because there was a sharp after-taste. It’s so overpowering that I could not taste the tomato sauce. It’s also very greasy. I had to use multiple napkins to dab it off.

As a New Yorker I can say that this is the closest slice to home that I have found in the LA area. I had the meatball slice and the mushroom slice. The meatballs were perfect and I’d eat a plate of them on their own. The mushrooms were fresh and flavorful. Overall excellent.

Right amount of sauce, with an artisan crust and quality toppings, great surroundings, and you can grab a dessert very close by at Dupars Bakery or Mechalina’s … the amazing shopping at the farmers market, followed by the perfect meal.
