This is the first time I have been to a friendlys in over 17 years. The last time was one in Augusta Maine. The food was great here. Service was top notch and fast. I give the employees 5 stars hands down. I am only here for 34 days but I will be back. As for the owner and or franchise I got to give you Zero stars. How are you going to let your workers work in those conditions without AC. I walked a mile to the restaurant and it was hotter inside than outside. I didn’t start to sweat until I sat down. The fact that your servers were so professional and great in that heat is a testament to them and their care for the customer. The fact that I read a review that said the ac has been out for over 3 weeks is a testament to your care for them. Do better and fix yourself.

This place was nostalgic when I was a child in Michigan. They did away with most of them except along East Coast so seeing this as I was visiting, you can imagine how excited I was at 52!!!! Food was great ice cream was great and was nice having that throwback moment. Wish they would make them in Forth Worth or Saginaw Texas. 😉

I was driving down this stretch of A1A for the 1st time in 30+ years. I remembered stopping at Friendly’s so I did it for nostalgia. Building looks old and weathered. Had a grilled cheese and iced tea. Place is ancient and service is OK. Very friendly staff. Nice to see they are still in business. Food wasn’t bad considering what it is. I would go back in the right circumstance. Mainly stopped here because of nostalgia.

Food was very tasty and very cheap prices. My sandwich had a lot of meat on it and it was very tasty. The monster mash was my favorite and it came with a lot of ice cream.

The worst food I have ever had. Eggs…runny, 6 pieces of toast who does that. Just trying to fill the plate. Bacon. Can’t go wrong with bacon right? Wrong. It was like chewing on a thin piece of brick. Terrible. Do not go there spend your hard earned money somewhere else. Never seen one smile from the workers

Very fair kinda place. On beachside. Fish was good a little pricey but lots of it. our free brownie fudge sundae made Jim’s heart pitter patter! Overall nice little nostalgic place. Shoestring fries were delish. I only counted off a star because it seemed like the staff was a little more concerned with something other than the restaurant. It’s nice to see people being friendly but the restaurant definitely could use some upkeep. Everyone was friendly. And for $50 just expected a little more. But it looks like people live in the restaurant booths had personal stuff in them and cell phone chargers. Not sure it just seemed like someone’s house rather than a restaurant. And I didn’t know we paid up front otherwise we would have left a lot sooner. I guess it’s just a more relaxed atmosphere on the beach or something. Didn’t feel as professional as it should have .. and the entire seemed a little dinghy like something on the roadside in the middle of nowhere .. food was alright and we left with pleasantries!

Been years, tried again for breakfast. Scramble eggs came out as egg omelet. Flat and overcooked. Bacon was asked to be crispy, came out burnt and broken. Eggs over easy came out with brown crispy edges. Dude cook,,, your grill is to hot. Overall, disappointed. I do not recommend this Friendly’s location. Front entry area made it look part shabby.

My wife and I used to bring our kids here when they were growing up. Very sad to say that it has unfortunately gone downhill. We were there about a month ago and the A/C was broken, it was so hot that we decided to leave. Wanted to give it a chance again a month later and the A/C was still broken! We stayed this time because it was a little cooler outside but the restaurant was still warm and smokey. Our waitress said it was from the grill and no air. They had the front door propped open with a chair which brought in the flies. We felt so bad for our waitress, she was sweating and looked like she was about to cry. She was the only one working besides one cook and one manager. She said the owners aren’t from Florida and are not fixing the A/C and they don’t put more staff on. The place was packed. They should be ashamed for making people work in that mess. Friendly’s used to be a staple in this town and the out of state owners have run it to the ground. It could be so much better if someone took care of the place. Very disappointing!

My wife and I have lived in IHB for 4.5 years. This was the first time we’ve ever eaten at Friendly’s restaurant on Eau Gallie Blvd. We had breakfast there on 11/16/25.

Condition of Restaurant: The front door of the restaurant was filthy (see photo). It looked like it had not been cleaned in 10+ years. The carpet was even in worse condition than the front door. It appeared to be 20+ years old and was beyond filthy (see photo). The foot traffic areas were incredibly dirty and discolored to a dark gray/black. The furniture in the restaurant was old, dirty and beat up, with holes in the vinyl upholstery.

Food: The pancakes were tough and unflavorful. The eggs were so-so. The bacon was under-cooked and nearly all fat. My wife had french toast with strawberries. The strawberries appeared old, and tasted disgusting.

Kitchen: From our seat I could see into the kitchen. I could see that they had a large open tub of whipped butter sitting on the counter which they would scoop out and place on top of the pancakes. Whipped butter needs to be refrigerated. Whipped butter needs to be refrigerated because it is more perishable than regular butter and can go bad more quickly. Refrigeration is necessary to prevent rancidity, mold growth and other spoilage. The Brevard County health department needs to pay a visit to this restaurant unannounced.

Waitress: Our waitress had no waitress skills. She was curt and unprofessional. She had a post-nasal drip and was constantly coughing.

I would not recommend that anyone frequent this restaurant.
