My sister and I decided to try somewhere new for lunch. The second we stepped into Friendly House of Pho, we were greeted by the owner as if we’d known her forever. She was making jokes, attending to us and others on her own. The beef pho was amazing. The crab rangoons were the best i’ve had thus far, and i absolutely love crab rangoons. These were on the sweeter side which is what I prefer. A hidden gem

My boyfriend and I came in for my birthday dinner before heading to Boston for a comedy show. I got the beef pho, and it was delicious! My boyfriend got the combination pho and said it was also very good. We both got some really good cocktails to drink, and the prices of everything were reasonable. The service was excellent, and the waitress was very helpful. I even got to play my own choice of music on the jukebox since they have it set up so anyone can download the app and play whatever they want, I love that! I had a great birthday, and highly recommend this spot for pho and other Vietnamese dishes, or just drinks if that’s what you’re looking for!

The food here is consistently fantastic, and the staff are always warm and welcoming! Every dish I’ve tried has exceeded expectations—never a disappointment. I’m especially looking forward to enjoying more live music out on the back deck; it’s the perfect setting for a great night out!

I ordered pho to go recently as Im sick and decided to try them. This the first time Im bashing on a restaurant for selling pho but I have to say that for almost $20 a bowl this was one of the worst, saddest excuses for a pho broth I have ever tasted.

I am Vietnamese. I know how to cook it, and Ive had more bowls of pho in this lifetime than the number of days this restaurant has been open. This bowl would make the ancestors riot. I did not get a hint of charred ginger, onion, the spices, or actual beef bone broth. It was heavily salted, probably excessive fish sauce. I only gave it two stars because the noodles and garnishes were probably the only decent about it but even the scallion and cilantro was not finely chopped or fresh i could tell it was old. The other worst part was i asked for meatball and steak, in vietnamese and the woman couldnt understand me she sounded Chinese given her accent so she put in meatball. They were so cheap with the meat portion, they literally sliced up 3 small meatballs in half.

The fact they advertise as authentic angers me, I hope the owner reads this and looks up a real pho broth recipe and doesnt skimp out on toppings for their customers. 10 years ago you can get a bowl of pho for 7.25 and all the toppings. Now it is almost triple the price and they are clearly cheap with the meat, so sad.

I also ordered the fresh spring roll, it DID NOT have vermicelli noodles in it and it was poorly wrapped. Real Vietnamese spring rolls have noodles and the peanut hoisin sauce is thick not watered down. This only thing good about that was the grilled pork. Do not call yourselves authentic.

My boyfriend and I are new to the neighborhood and were craving good, home style Pho. But what we experienced was the most phenomenal, crisp, fresh, exquisite PHO we have EVER tasted! We love all Asian cuisine, Japanese, Thai…but this Pho has us in a choke hold. The woman that greeted us was so nice and kind. She’s the same to suggest us to get the Pho house special (Rare steak, brisket, tendons & beef balls) and I had the shrimp Pho. We regret nothing! Being a woman who lives with IBS and food hurting my stomach is normal everyday life. But the Pho was healing & didnt hurt my tummy. Weird, I know, but I guess high quality fresh Pho is life changing. I had to call her when we were done eating and share my happiness! We will be regulars and look forward to Musical bingo tomorrow! ❤️ Thank you for a beautiful, friendly and welcoming 1st experience! ❤️ Glen & Minnie
