My Mom says they’re amazing , and all though she has anxiety, she feels comfortable and safe there. It is very much a homey , cozy atmosphere.
One of the best places to be around here for sure! My Mom and I love to visit regularly!
The food! … AaMAzing!
I can honestly say I have not been to a restaurant that has more reasonable prices than Frieda’s Café, it was CRAZY to see in 2023. These are throwback prices to the early 2000’s.
I ordered the BLT Sandwich and fries, and it was really good. The BLT was not large as you might expect for the price but was a good sandwich. It had several pieces of bacon, and everything was really fresh. The French fries were crinkle cut and very good.
The service was good, considering every seat in the place was taken. The food came out quickly and it is a very clean establishment.
I will definitely be back when in town. This has to be the best value for the dollar I have ever seen.
For the food, everything was hot & fresh, and the wait wasn’t too long either. Pancakes were large and were bussin’! The eggs were made to order were delectable as well. Hashbrowns were a little oily, but had a great fry on them. There was a piece of tape in my water but besides that everything was solid.
On average we all spent around $8 to $10 on our meals. Make sure you have cash since payment is cash only!
Frieda’s is officially certified epic.
This was our first time dining here, but we were welcomed so warmly it felt like we were regulars. The service was incredible, and they have the best diner food I’ve had in …. probably years, if I’m being honest.
I love BLTs, but am cautious about ordering them somewhere I haven’t been before. I figured for the price it was worth a shot, and I was not disappointed! The bacon was perfectly crisp, tomatoes sliced at just the right thickness and not overripe, and it was topped with (I think) a spring mix in lieu of iceberg or romaine lettuce. I’ll level with you: I didn’t investigate the greens, I inhaled that sandwich so fast after that first delicious bite!
My mom also thoroughly enjoyed her cheeseburger (I wish I had taken a photo of the grin on her face after taking a bite), and my boyfriend was pleased with his choice of the Swedish steak as the noon special (which wasn’t MY favorite, but he liked it).
For dessert we got the lemon delight and a fudge brownie. The lemon delight was so light and dreamy, and you could tell the frosting on the brownie was homemade. Absolutely excellent!
10/10 would recommend to anyone passing through, and we definitely plan to stop again on our way back through town.
