If you’re looking for great food at a great price then “Fried Tomato ‘ ‘ is the spot.
We enjoyed sampling a little here and there to decide upon what we really wanted to indulge into.

My wife and I arrived around 11:25am. The crowd started showing up around 12:45pm. Most of the pans were full and the service was good. Not bad for less than $40– including drinks & a tip. Came into town on a business trip. Fried Tomato Buffet was our favorite place to eat. Great price and food is what kept us coming back. We ate here 4 times for dinner. It was amazing. All the food is perfectly cooked and it is truly some good southern cooking.

My husband and I enjoy(ed) Fried Tomatoes. The food is good, the hostess/cashier is very sweet and their servers work very hard. They make our visit enjoyable. The issue we have is their manager. Never in my life have I ever seen a manager belittle their employees in front of customers. She is extremely rude and obviously feels like it’s acceptable to treat employees this way. She is also rude to customers. This last visit will be our very last. I will miss the cashiers and servers as they have always been kind and worked very hard but as my husband said, “It’s not worth having to hold your tongue” meaning we cannot watch the “manager” act this way any longer. She puts a damper on a nice evening out.

This was my 1st time at this location in McDonough. Food was fresh, taste great, seasoned very well, very busy but still seated. Buffet was clean and stocked fresh food, Tables and chairs weren’t cleaned so good. They could do better with wiping down. Overall its a great place we went after church Sunday. Price overall its Sunday it always varies no complaints. Atmosphere was great everyone included. Table server for drinks she was okay brought wrong drinks never really tried to resolve, but in the end everything went well. Great place for kids. Last parking not great for a busy restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious you’re definitely want to come back…Everything was clean and neatly done and the manager Tess was simply amazing I will definitely come again. The price is absolutely worth the trip. The attention to detail was surprisingly worth every cent.

My family of five recently dined here and unfortunately had a very uncomfortable experience. We each had one plate of food, including plates for our children. Some plates were simply waiting to be cleared, as the server was taking time to come back to the table.
The owner approached us and stated we were using too many plates and needed to finish everything before getting more. As parents, we do not force our young children to finish food once they are done eating.
When I calmly expressed that the approach felt rude and unnecessary, we were told we were no longer welcome at the restaurant. Being banned over expressing how we felt was surprising and disappointing.
We understand restaurants may have policies about food waste, but respectful communication goes a long way. We support small businesses and expect to be treated with the same courtesy.

Food was absolutely delicious but I’m only giving it a 3 star because I fell ill. I’ve been throwing up and pooping since I left. I only ate 1/2 of my plate. I was craving it after 3 days of fasting. I never over indulge in my food so over eating isn’t an option to say why I’m sick.

We walked in. It was no notice stating that it was a $2 pre person extra for a party over four which was charged an extra $16.
The buffet was a mess. No cleaning of the buffet. The manager was total rude.
The food had no taste like they pour out a can and put it on the buffet, bones in the mashed potatoes. VERY UNHAPPY.
They had no cleaning or care for buffet line.
Very disappointing.
After complaining the manager wants to say get out and you are banned…
