Let me tell y’all something. I’m giving this place 5 stars only because i can’t give them ten. I’ve eaten here twice with my mother and we liked everything we tried. So far I’ve had, fried chicken, fried pork chops, BBQ ribs, baked chicken, baby Lima beans, black eyed peas, yams, sweet potato soufflé, and of course fried Green tomatoes. Photo is my son’s plate, he asked for double ribs and double Mac and cheese. Y’all come get y’all a plate, the portions are huge and the prices are budget friendly.

Everything about this place deserves 5 stars. The food is always delicious, the staff are super friendly, a clean environment, and the price is very reasonable. I eat here 2, sometimes 3 times a week. They have pineapple cobbler on Wednesday and Saturdays and peach cobbler the rest of the week, both are good but pineapple is, in my opinion, much better. Today I had the smoked sausage, hot wings, cabbage, Mac and cheese, cornbread, and pineapple cobbler. All of it was so good but I ate too much and they had to call a crane company to pick me up out of my seat and hoist me to my truck.

Fast friendly service even on a Saturday afternoon at 5:30! Quite a large selection of good southern dishes served cafeteria style. Fried chicken, chicken livers, fried green tomatoes, rutabagas, lima beans, mac and cheese, green beans – it was all good. Nothing overcooked or lacking n seasoning. Portions are large so we brought food home and had no room for desert. In this day of higher and higher prices, they have done a great job of offering tasty, plentiful food at a good price. And get this – on Saturday we got a 15% senior discount! The menu changes daily so we have to go back

Absolutely wonderful service, delicious food, and affordable prices. Please show them some love. I will be trying breakfast next time. But for now, can anyone tell me where Bbq can be found this flavorful?

I was just in town, picking up a Home Depot order. Before heading home, I got a craving for peach cobbler. I scrolled through Google, and decided to order from Fried Green Tomatoes. I had never been there before. I ordered the dessert; and when I got it home…it was that moment that I knew I had ‘messed’ up. I wish I could post a picture. It looked like a large portion of overcooked oatmeal with diced, canned peaches

Can’t speak for service or atmosphere but I ordered through door dash and the chicken is overcooked and hard, the baked porkchop is dry. The grits have cheese but no seasoning? I paid for tartar and fried green tomato sauce and didn’t get any. I don’t understand how this restaurant has good reviews.

The food this around did not taste good at all, but you could tell the mac & cheese was boxed. The potatoes was boxed. The gizzards were so hard you couldn’t chew them. The potatoes were cold and I don’t even know what the banana pudding is I mean seriously is gross yeah eat at your own risk.

I visited Fried Green Tomato on Watson Blvd on Saturday, the 20th. This was my first—and last—visit. While the customer service was excellent (a strong 5), the food was very disappointing (a 0). The restaurant was clean and the plates looked appealing, but the portions were small and the food had no flavor. The only thing I enjoyed was the brownie I ordered. I normally go to the Russell Parkway location and just found out this one is not connected. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.
