The biggest issue is inconsistency. You can order the same flavor of wings and each time they will be sauced differently, sometimes with little flavor at all. Once in a while it’ll be really bold, but on average you’ll get a hint of what’s advertised. One plus I’ll give them is there wings are huge, but I rather them taste good each time I order. A frozen bag of pre flavored wings often beats them in taste.
Inconsistency continues with delivery. 1 out of 3 times you can expect there to be something wrong with your order. They may have to cancel part of it without explanation (we had that happen last night and based on the sauce on the bag, we guessed someone literally dropped food and didn’t want to remake it). You may have to wait over 2 hours. They may give you the wrong wings. Or they cancel it entirely. We’ve had each scenario happen, and even when it’s right, it’s not always good tasting food.
The last thing I want to talk about is their fries, since it’s in the name. Easily some of the most unremarkable fries around. We assume they are straight out of a Sysco box. Even if you try to upgrade the order with cheese fries or seasonings, don’t expect much. You’ll once again get an inconsistant result of a random amount of cheese powder or spices tossed in. The seasoned fries we ordered last night had barely anything on them. The last time we got them they were caked in powders.
You can give this place a try and get some good food on occasion, and compared to other places offering wings, the prices are tempting. But each time you get delivery, it’ll be a dice roll on whether your order is similar to that last time you got it, if you get the food your ordered at all.
The food was made fresh and with care for sure.
I will say that some of the sauces ie stingin honey garlic and bbq were on the “ too sweet “ side, and the honey Lemon Pepper ( which is not on the menu), had a little too much pepper and not enough honey.
The loaded fries were on point! Whatever kind of ranch they use, wow I need that recipe
Once those get the right balance wow!! Will definitely be back. This will be my wing go to spot. I do not mind driving a little more for good quality food.
This is a takeout place but we appreciate you guys letting us sit at the small table.
Once you guys become big time please keep it authentic! Blessings to your business.
If you like OTP Wings then you’ll like the wings here at Fried and Fries… And you don’t need to drive all the way into Leonardtown. I always test out Old Bay wings whenever I find them. These traditional wings with Old Bay were great! Some folks like a heavy coating and some like it lite… These seemed to be right in the middle. We also tried out their boneless wings with teriyaki. Just like with the traditional bone in wings they were very moist and tender.
We had a round of plain tenders with a few sauces. They were great when hot but did firm up a little once cooled. Personally I don’t see any issue but one of my kiddos had issues with it (can be a little picky sometimes).
Fries were good… Not greasy Not overly salted… Pretty much as expected.
The big take away is that the chicken (bone in, boneless and tenders) was NOT greasy like many places in the county. A++
To the owner: I wish you good luck in this county! I hope to visit again and try more of your wing flavors along with some other items on the menu (Cheese Steak).
One) there is zero a/c in there so prepare to stand in an oven. When the food was ready things were missing such as fries. The wings were undercooked and soggy (I got plain whole wings dry rub). The burger that we got was thrown together like no one cared. There was barely any toppings and there was barely any meat.
When we called the reasturant and spoke to a manager, they said they’ll call us back in 30 mins. So we decided to drive to the place since it was like 5 minutes away and then when we came in asking for the manager he surprisingly said “oh he just left” but when I had ordered there was only 3 ppl behind the counter and there was still 3 when we came in. When we spoke to the guy with grey hair he said that the manager had just stepped out for the day and he’ll be in at 1100 tmmr. Which was crazy cuz he sounded just like the manager we just spoke with on the phone! Talking to this guy with grey hair and it was all a mess. He was arguing with us and kept lying. He said that only the manager can provide a refund then he said that it’s policy to not issue refunds. I said it’s not on the receipt and he said it was on the website. I asked him to pull it up and he said he didn’t have too and so I pulled the website up and no where on it does it say anything bout no refunds and he was speechless. He refused to give a refund to uneaten food and missing food. He was completely disrespectful, rude and in denial.
Complete waste of time. Be warned. Do not eat here. Also when we came back. We saw the cook wasn’t using gloves or a hair net when preparing food..so yea…save your money and go elsewhere
I recently tried Fried & Fries and had mixed feelings about my experience. I ordered a cheesesteak, which turned out to be the smallest one I’ve ever bought—my hand barely dwarfed it! For $10, I expected a bit more substance. While the flavor was decent, the portion size left me wanting more. If they could focus on enhancing customer value by adding a bit more meat, it would make a significant difference. Now I’m off to find dinner #2 to fill the gap!
